The Pink Floyd one was hilarious, as well as the Iron Maiden one
ReplyThey forgot the key signature on #8--four sharps.
ReplyYou mean for E-major? Yes, there's that, but one sharp for E-minor.
#7 Music for teenagers to take ecstasy also?
ReplyMostly alright, though you lost me a bit with the "my hands are full of bird shit" one (how does that more truthfully relate to the music, again?)... and then MASSIVELY with the suggestion that Rammstein, a pointedly anti-fascist band (one of their bigger hits was a left-wing anthem for fuck's sake), makes music "to invade Poland to".
ReplyNo, if you bother to listen, or at least run the lyrics of their (increasingly fewer) non-english songs through google translate, you'll find it's overwhelmingly "music to fuck' to".
Yeah, they sing in german, we fuck'ing get it. It doesn't mean they're Nazis you bigoted moron. VE DAY WAS NEARLY SEVENTY YEARS AGO. GET THE FUCK' OVER IT.
Edit: This post brought to you by the accidental discovery that "shit" passes the profanity filter, as does "fuck'" so long as you put an apostrophe at the end of it. Also that editing inexplicably wrecks any and all attempts at paragraphing even though it seems to be preserved whilst in the edit box.
V-Day thank you, but more importantly... You know what I'm not going to bother. You look at one possible reason someone said something and you never even consider it to be off the mark. For example I see this thread and think you could be a Rammenstien fan or an asshat.
@TGklaid: Actually, VE Day would be Victory in Europe Day, as opposed to VJ Day, which was Victory in Japan (or the Pacific) Day.
35 and 19 should have been slightly higher.
Reply12 and 13 made me giggle.
Overall one of the less disappointing photoplasties.
25 and 1 made me lol
Reply#5 wins.
ReplyI'm gonna have to agree with the Rammstein album.
ReplyI mean you can f**k and invade Poland to that shit. s**t, you can f**k on your way to invade Poland with that shit. Just drive with your knees, and everything will be fine, assuming you're not really invading f*****g Poland..
Just so long as you realise you've massively misinterpreted the intent behind the music and that the band would completely disagree with it being used in that way. Sort of like if you were to describe Iron Maiden's work as "good music for satanists to nuke native americans to".
#19... totally my girlfriend
Replythe music to invade poland to is wagner
Reply#5. So true, so true...
ReplyTo take ecstacy too
ReplyTake ecstacy too
Too
you want me to take some with you? ok...
you forgot the greentext... oh wait
As a classical musician, 4 made me laugh. Hard.
Replyso most of these just changed the title, not the actual cover art. good job.
ReplyAnd as we all know, the title is never found on the album cover, so changing the title does not the change the cover at all.
I listen to that Dropkick Murphy's album at least once a week. But it always pisses me off that the only time I can find theirs and Flogging Molly's CDs in stores is around St Pat's
Reply Hide All See All 3 Repliesyeah, I have the Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly discographies in regular rotation. (as well as fair handfuls of other Celtic rock)
I wish they were more popular in general, but that's not a CD availability thing in particular.
Heck, I got my copy of Speed of Darkness (the new FM album) from Target in late June.
CD's? Stores? Well maybe you should leave the 1990's and you would have more luck finding it.
^What this guy said, but most digital downloads suck in their encoding.
#8 Applies for just about every rock band in recent years.
Reply Hide All See All 3 RepliesReally? Because there is a shit-ton of Prog Rock that has come out in recent years and if you think it is 4:4 then you have no idea what you are talking about.
As a non-tone-deaf person, I don't see what's so banal about being in 4/4.
Stop listening to the radio then
Uh, that Dark Side Of The Moon one was clearly made by someone who doesn't know the first thing about Pink Floyd. The album was made in tribute to Syd Barrett who'd gone insane from a drug overdose; I highly doubt any of the band members were toking up during any of the production of that album.
Reply Hide All See All 6 Repliescongrats, you know way too much about this band and missed the point of why its funny! from what i gather its just saying that mainly people who smoke herb tend to listen to this album and think its the most amazing thing ever created... calm down.
Also, the album that was a tribute to Syd Barrett was _Wish You Were Here_.
And Syd was insane before the drugs.
No actually Dark Side was all about Rodger.
It is the archetypal stoner album, though. And did he lose it from overdosing on weed or something much stronger? There's degrees of drug (ab)use; a few tokes whilst making a record is more on the level of having a couple of beers, rather than getting mashed out of your head with acid and pcp...
It is an amazing album, straight or high. Uh...so I've heard. ;)) And Floyd's whole career, at least from Dark Side on, has been a tribute to Syd Barrett.
Hell, with #3, they should have pointed out the fact that Mulan soundtrack had the s****y orchestrated version of the hair cutting scene. It was the ONLY reason why I bought the damn thing and they changed it!!
ReplyI always wondered why I couldn't find that song on there...
#8 is flippin' brilliant.
ReplyGoing to have to agree with #26 (The Smiths). That album is dangerous.
