ReplyAmerica never "won" the Cold War. The end of Soviet Russia had practically nothing to do with America. It was an internal collapse, because while America was busy publishing propaganda and bitching about other countries having their own opinions, and running around bullying the smaller kids into shunning Russia because it wasn't as cool as USA, Russia was busy trying to improve living conditions of a post war nation that inevitably didn't work because Gorbachev (who was part of the Soviet Union) tried to introduce democratic ideals into Russia, which meant factories reduced the production of everyday consumer goods as they concentrate on more expensive goods, and it resulted in strikes and coupes and all the likes, which eventually and inevitably lead to the Soviet being dissolved. American campaigns might have put pressure on Eastern Europe, and they freaked everyone else out on the planet by threatening to blow it up if Russia refused to play with them, but they didn't "win" the Cold War. It just ended, it wasn't won. Americans like so much to believe they were the reason for the entire universe.

I happen to BE American, thank you. That said, you're absolutely right; the USSR fell for many reasons, mainly internal. We didn't do anything to speed that up that the other NATO members didn't do (Constantly exposing civil rights abuses, political pressure, etc). The Afghanistan war was the straw that broke the camel's back, though.

ReplyHmm...I don't think so. I think it's just...asking "what if whites had ended up becoming the minority [in America(?)]". IMHO, diversity doesn't seem like something the Nazis would celebrate; tolerate perhaps, but not celebrate.

Reply#3 doesn't make sense. I get Napoleon was short and so his monument would be shorter, but we never went to war with him. The US was actually an ally of the French during the Napoleonic Wars.
