*snicker* "Axis of Evil"...
ReplyAm I the only one here clueless as to what #2 is referencing?
ReplyNinja Turtles !
Probably...
#15 is a star not a moon.
ReplyIt's the same size as a moon, and it's in an orbit of a planet. They only called it the Death 'Star' because Death Moon doesn't sound worth shit.
#8 should be #1 (Bowser kingdom!). I'd also like to state that I'd like to join the Riders of Rohan.
ReplyAlso number 1 goes to the james bond one. I thought the bowser kingdom/communist poster was really good!
ReplyI'd totally join the Riders of Rohan
Reply"Serfs Up!" lulz...
ReplyThis list ended at number 8 for me. Number 15 was pretty subtle, was nice to see a swipe at politics aimed at the left, for once.
ReplyUsing the red/blue Shepard Fairey colour scheme and layout does not make it a swipe at the left.
#15 was great, "It's just a moon", brilliant and hilarious at the same time. Imagine that one as a poster in the canteen of the death star :)
ReplyWhy didn't number 12 mention Nottingham?
Replyoh it did. its under the circle picture.
awesome though
ReplyI liked #3 the best
ReplyI always thought Soylent Green's slogan should be: " At Soylent Green, we're people, people like you!"
ReplyTastes may vary from person to person.
I thought I read "For the 9000 of our kingdom" in #8.
ReplyNumber 6 was awesome, it should have been number one.
Replywhy the f**k is the profanity blocker starring up the "pi" in "sus**cious"? is this some new dope-fiend slang i am unaware of?
Reply Hide All See All 8 Repliesit's sus**cious.
s**c is a term racist use to describe mexicans
Wrong, s**c is a derogatory term used against ALL Hispanics and Latinos, not just the Mexicans.
I thought all hispanics and lations WERE Mexicans :/
Latino Here. My country's got a smidge less drugs than Mexico.
And 'Mexican' is a derogatory term used against all OTHER Hispanics.
I thought s**c applied to all Spanish speakers.
Also Japan or Japanese is censored wtf
But people who use the word s**c probably think all Hispanics and Latinos are Mexicans
I thought Starship Troopers was a glaring omission. The movie had several propaganda shorts and would seem an obvious choice.
ReplyI think that is because this is about "If Movie Universes HAD Propaganda Posters" and Starship Troopers already has propaganda posters.
I've always thought Starship Troopers was a propaganda film that you, as a person living in the Starship Troopers universe, were watching. Making fake propaganda posters for that would take it one too many levels of meta, and there's a good chance the universe would have a reboot-inducing stack overflow.
I see something wrong with #8: why would Bowser, a king, have communist iconography?
ReplyFunny s**t though.
#8 looks like it says "For the 9000 of our kingdom" I spent like five minutes trying to figure out how Dragon Ball fit into any of it.
Reply12, 3, and 2 weren't really propaganda though. they were just ads.
ReplyYou do know what propaganda is, don't you? It's any form of advertisement, most often a pamphlet or poster, meant to influence a targeted group toward a view or cause.
And this thing double posted. No delete button?
