If I could rewrite capt. planet, I would change the five kids to five different kinds of felines, who would go to a surreal school where they're all treated like people and everyone just laughs when they maul someone. One of them is a house cat, while the others are variations of wild jungle cats. Instead of summoning captain planet, they all form together into a fuzzy japanese robot with a tiger and a lion for arms and they would then eat whichever villain that was the subject of the episode. It would end with all the cats laughing genially in human voices.
