I am a guy. I am married. I have a beautiful baby daughter, who is as of the time of my joining, one year old. I play guitar. I play guitar pretty good, actually. I spend alot of time practicing, and playing with my daughter. For those of you that acutally CARE about such things, my rig is as follows:
Guitar:
Ibanez ICX120 Iceman, Stock
D'Addario EXL115 Blues/Jazz Rock 11-49 Electric Guitar Strings
Fender Cali Clear Cable (20 ft)
(Optional) Vox Wah
(Optional) Green Shoolace Patch Cable (6 in)
Dano Daddy-O Overdrive
Red Shoolace Patch Cable (6 in)
Boss BF-2 Flanger
Fender Cloth Wrapped Cable (20 ft)
Channel 3 on a Phonic Powerpod 620+ 100 Watt PA system
Backup:
The Vampire, which is a Lyon by Washburn Strat Copy, Modded with a Killswitch. Call it the Vampire because everyone who has ever played it, ends up bleeding all over it.
Bass:
Fender MiM P-Bass, Standard
D'Addario EXL160 Long Scale 50-105 Bass Strings
Fender Cali Clear Cable (20 ft)
Channel 3 on above mentioned PA
I am HOPING to add an IC200, 300, and 400 to my rig before long, as well as an ICT700. In addition, I'm upgrading my amp to a Vox AC30, and my effects chain to the following (in series, using Planet Waves Patch Cables, and Planet Waves Cables from the guitar to the FX, and the FX to the Amp/PA)
Boss CS-3 Compression Sustainer*
Morley Steve Vai Bad Horsie II Contour Wah
Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal Distortion*
Boss BD-2 Blues Driver Overdrive*
Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensamble*
Boss CH-1 Super Chorus
Boss BF-2 Flanger*
Boss HF-2 Hi Band Flanger
Boss PS-5 Super Shifter
Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter*
Boss GE-7 EQ
Morley Steve Vai Little Alligator Volume
Boss DD-7 Digigal Delay*
Boss RC-20XL Loop Station
("*" denotes MAJOR player in my sound. As strange as it may be, those are the NEEDED ones for what my band needs me to do. I can, and DO get by on nothing more than Overdrive and Flange/Chorus, but add the rest [especially the delay!], and I can create soundscapes like you wouldnt DREAM!)
All of the above runs into the AC30, which is then mic'd up with a Sennheiser e835 Dynamic Mic, which is then ran into PA.
I sing through a Sennheiser e838 Vocal Mic.
Our music has been described as Punk, Metal, Hard Rock, Hard Prog, Prog Metal, Punk Metal, and Heavy Punk. I'm not sure WHAT we are, but it's hard, and it's heavy, but at the same time, it's got some KILLER prog-esq soundscapes!
