I'm a self-published author of a dark, literary fantasy, Monochrome, and of a few poetry books. I also teach part-time community college and write reviews on indie books and authors on my site, www.hmjones.net. All of this means that I have a giving, supportive spouse with a good income. And thank heavens for logically minded, well off spouses or there would be at least one more starving 'artist' out there. I have two minions living with me. They keep calling me mamma and wanting things from me. They're cute and look familiar, so I humor them.
