I am what you fear most, I am the bane of man and the slight of men. I am what's in room 101. You cannot escape me, you cannot hide from me, you cannot dodge me. For I am everywhere and nowhere at once, I may be miles away looking at you through the scope of my sniper, or I may be in your closet looking at you through the reflection off of my blade.

You will make it a duty to not cross my path, to meet my gaze or to breathe down my neck. You will make it your duty to never anger the beast, awake the terror, or talk too loudly behind me at the movie theaters. For if you do so, I will become your eternal fear.

Remember that every time you're alone in the house and a creepy squeak sounds, that's me. Every time you awake in the middle of the night screaming, that's me. Every time you find yourself vulnerable and weak, that's my doing. Every time you get rejected by that beautiful person of the opposite (or same) sex, I will be laughing.

I feed off the mirth and sadness of others. Though I do like to occasionally munch on the snack that smiles back.... babies.
