No engineer would build a grasping tool, digging device, paddle, walking device and wing of the same materials and upon the same design.

I'm a 2nd year Biology student (translation: my life revolves around school 8 months of the year) and my only source of information from the real world is cracked.com, I think it's a pretty good choice for a well rounded input.
