About Me

About me? Ready for this? Here goes... Impetuous, manic, slightly twisted, emotionally "interesting," mildly paranoid, intelligent (to a fault), tolerant, intolerant, well-groomed, slightly messy, easy-going, uptight, passionate, impartial, a bit "touched," fun-loving, outgoing, introverted, thoughtful, romantic, warm, cold, hard-working, living, laughing, friend to the environment, hard-line, liberal, healthy, smoker, gay, straight, bisexual (why do we use such words?), playful, serious, willing to negotiate, talented in that off-beat sort of way, sexual, frigid... Being brave isn't the lack of fear... it's the ability to be terribly afraid and still stand by what you believe. Heroism isn't being super-human... it's the simple ability to do what needs to be done without ever asking, "What's in it for me?" The ability to speak does not necessarily make you intelligent. Organized religion will be the downfall of modern society as we know it. As you watch your freedoms being taken from you one by one, does it make you angry? Opposites do not attract, they repel. Your partner should compliment you; one bookend will not keep the books from falling, nor will two right ends or two left ends. They are different and yet the same. Seek love in that. If you feel incomplete, do not look to another person to fill that void... look inside to find that thing about yourself that you do not like; fix it. I'm all for walking to the beat of your own drum, but do you have to beat it so damn loudly? If things are not working between you and your lover, friends, relatives etc, have you looked at yourself and asked the question, "What about myself do I not like that I'm taking out on them?" How many books have you read in the past year? How many hours do you spend in front of the brightly lit box turning your brain into chunky salsa? Can you sit alone in a silent room and be at peace like that or must you always fill the silence with something that will keep you from hearing the voice you really SHOULD be listening to? If you're having a hard time finding what you're looking for, perhaps you should consider the fact that you're looking for the wrong thing.
