Cracked on Stargate SG-1
Stargate SG-1, the longest running SciFi series in television history (214 awesome episodes in 10 seasons), spawned from the 1994 MGM movie Stargate. The series, created by Jonathan Glassner and Brad Wright, originally premiered on Fox but, like most shows on Fox, was cancelled shortly thereafter. The SciFi Channel then bought the rights to Stargate, along with The Outer Limits, and Poltergeist: The Legacy.

This show actually premiered on Showtime, and then switched to the Sci-Fi Channel after the fifth or sixth season (not anywhere near "shortly thereafter"). It only ran in syndication on Fox.
ReplyAlso, really. No humor at all in this article? This is Cracked, not Wikipedia.
You know whats sick? In episode 3 of season 7, O'neill's clone is reading a copy of "Cracked" Magazine. I just watched that episode today and when I saw it I just started laughing.

Actually the show first aired on Showtime, not Fox, and it lasted five seasons there before moving to SciFi. Sorry to be a fact checker, it was just one of my favorite shows.
