Your goal, or at least a close approximation by your wacky neighbor to the North.

Writing is what you will be required to do.

A clue is what you will need...and what you will receive!

Just The Facts

  1. You will create your very own Cracked!-type article, complete with links, pictures, and captions.
  2. Your article should be Hunt related, but you have some freedom, as described below.
  3. You will create a fantastic web page for this item.
  4. The writer of this puzzle would like to thank all the other Cracked! writers who chipped in.

What's in a Cracked Article?

A Cracked! article consists of:

  • A title
  • An introduction
  • 4-12 list elements

Each item in the list needs to have

  • Content
  • Links to supporting material
  • Pictures
  • Picture captions

In real life, the list items are 200-300 words, but we're giving you a rare break and saying that 150 words per item is just fine.

What and How should we write?

Headquarters takes a lesson from the magnificent Cracked.com editorial staff in its rigorous standards. Failure to meet these standards will result in stern looks and shaking heads.

Your article must be about the theme of this year's Hunt, the coin and its locations, or the history of the Hunt. Nothing on the "10 most dangerous turnips of all time".

Your article must be humorous. This is not a book report. Headquarters shall be bored to tears if you submit a book report.

Your article need not be profane. Dick jokes may be replaced with duck jokes.

Your article needs to be mildly accurate. Use supporting material when it is necessary. Create supporting material if it cannot be found.

It's written. Now what?

First, bask in your success. It's hard to write. Just ask someone who is doing his dissertation for decades on end.

Locate an appropriate webspace and upload your masterpiece. Check to make sure your links work.

Email headquarters with a link to your masterpiece and a way to contact you. We will return our results in a reasonable amount of time.
