Since his suicide Nick has gained the notoriety that he so longed for during his short life. His three albums Five Leaves Left, Bryter Layter, and Pink Moon now appear on greatest albums ever lists. His fans range from fellow folk musicians to the troubled actor Heath Ledger. Before his untimely death Heath planned to make a documentary on the life of his hero Nick Drake. All he got to though was a bleak music video of Nick"s song "Black Eyed dog which seemed to eerily predict Heath's own death. Even though he is still basically unknown to the mainstream his albums will long be used by lonely failed musicians to kill themselves to.
