"In the beginning"

Way back in 1971 a well known singer named Linda Ronstadt talked to a producer named John Boylan. Together they recruited a super team of musicians, you know like the justice team except with instruments instead of superpowers. Glenn Frey and Don Henley were recruited in the spring, with Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon joining later in the summer.

Strangely enough the first time they played live it was only Glenn fry and Don Henley. Not to mention they were backing up Linda Ronstadt at a concert in disneyland. With the encouragement of Linda Ronstadt the band focused on their own band and signed with David Geffon onto Asylum Records.

There first album Eagles was recorded in England in February 1972. It was released June 17 1972. Eagles was a major success and had 3 top 40 singles. Their second album Desperados was themed on old western outlaws and gangsters, They also made comparisons on themselves with outlaws that actually made sense.
