Yogi Bear

Yogi Bear is a classic cartoon from the 1960's animated by William Hannah and Joseph Barbera. Yogi's intelligence is what separates him from average bears.

Just The Facts

  1. Yogi has it better than a millionaire
  2. Yogi is smarter than the average bear
  3. Yogi Bear is not to be confused with Yogi Berra.

The plot is un-bear-able (so is this pun)

A typical episode of Yogi Bear consists of Yogi finding a picnic basket and attempting to steal it, Boo Boo failing to convince Yogi not to take the picnic basket, and Ranger Smith failing to stop Yogi from eating the contents of the picnic basket with dialogue that goes something like this:

Yogi: Hey Boo Boo. We need to find ourselves a pic-a-nic basket.

Boo: Uhhhh I don't know Yogi.

Ranger: Yogi, you know the rules. NO FEEDING THE BEARS!

Yogi inevitably winds up with the picnic basket despite Boo Boo and The Ranger's valiant efforts to follow state issued park regulations. Yogi manages to outwit The Ranger because Yogi is smarter than the average bear (and Park Rangers obviously.)

My biggest concern is HOW THE FUCK did Yogi get a hat and neck tie? The only plausible answer is after an "almost" failed attempt at robbing a pic-a-nic basket, Yogi mauls a business man to death and wears his outfit as a trophy. It's also possible that as smart as Yogi is, he fails to understand that The Ranger will recognize him under his simple 'guise.
