Good Charlotte and their Gothic Goodness

We all watch MTV ... right? Well, someday u find yourself seeing a biography on some band and the most one that pops up is Good Charlotte.

Good Charlotte, and at first I thought it was a girls' band! Seriously, how fucked up is that? I mean, okay, I'll currently get into a music band in a few weeks and we have some cool names, and NOT taken from some kid's book that talks about orphanage and girls!!!!

Yeah, Good Charlotte dudes got their band name from reading kids' books! "Good Charlotte: The Girls of Good Day Orphanage, by Carol York I mean, come ON! The author died in the 20's! Who wants to read some book about some cute innocent orphan girl, called Charlotte, who isn't the tomboy/punk since she's all "good"! And who still doesn't known what's punk rock in the first place?!

Or is it "Esther" type of an orphan?

Who, in their right sane mind, create a punk band on some good little girl in an orphange. Or maybe the band members are pedophiles?

The weird thing about them - other than their band name - is the albums and songs' names! Look at their discology:

[taken from Wikipedia - only way to copy/paste the albums!]

Now ... tell me what u think! Aren't they ... a little tooo much on death/life thing? and taking it too seriously?! And their fourth album is Good Morning Revival... with the known songs "Break Her Heart Apart" (i actually liked that song!) and "Dance Flood Rythm"

The fifth 2009 album is Cardiology ... again with the Gothic freaky, morgue-type words. It will be released sometime around this December.

And you should check out some of their old album lyrics, guys!

"You say that I'm a dreamer,
I say you're a non-believer,
Take out the light, take out the light start screamin',
I'm dreaming,
I'm a dreamer, no one believes me,
And you don't either,
So tell me what to,
Take out the light,
Take out the light,
Take out the light,
Take out the light start screamin"

-Screamer, Good Charlotte-

A bit like the new Marilyn Manson, punk version? haha

Or wait, another:

"I will wait until the end
When the pendulum will swing back to the
Darker side of our hearts bleeding
I will save this empty space
Next to me like it's a grave
Where I lay a place for us to sleep eternally together"

-Ghost of You-

-_- ... now that's plain Goth!

Make ur mind up! Goth, Punk of Emo?

Anyway, as deranged -mentally- and freaky they may be, MTV pretty much worship them since the band had won multiple MTV International Awards in 2003, co-hosted with Fergie in the Australian MTV Video Music Awards in 2007, and will be another MTV huge hit in December 2009.

They have been in the soundtracks of many movies, and greatly supported Justin Timberlake, re-mixed with Three Mafia 6 and other known bands.

In short, Good Charlotte relates a bit to Evanescence since they both talk about Death, Life, Revival and other Goth stuff.

Also, I'm sure that this band will help to all you, suiciders! If you think your life is fucked up, then just download some of their songs by LimeWire, listen and grab your dad's gun and shoot yourself. If you had some witnesses, just tell them: "Good Charlotte helped me!"

Or watch Orphan, it'll give u some ideas!
