Back to the Future

Back to the Future is a story of time travel, moral lessons and a dangerous lunatic who nearly destroys the universe on three separate occasions and nearly kills the underage boy he hangs around with on at least five others.

Just The Facts

  1. In the first movie, Doc Brown makes a huge deal out of the sanctity of time and the terrible risks of future information. He then spends the next thirty years building a time machine.
  2. Doc suffers the same genetic disorder as real-life Michael J Fox, making him look exactly the same no matter how old he gets.
  3. In the third movie he builds a magical steam powered Happy-Ending-Mo-Bile.

Doc Brown: Evil Lunatic

Doc Brown first tested his time machine on his own dog and was visibly surprised when it actually survived.  Other highlights include nearly running himself over by remote control, using a date-rape machine on Marty's girlfriend and accidentally creating an entire dimension of hell.

This is why he was controversially cast as Commander Kruge in Star Trek 3. While most were baffled at the choice of a comedic actor, director Leonard Nimoy recognized an actor who could portray destroying an entire world without giving a rat's ass.

Doc actually got bionic implants, rejuvenation, etc. from different timelines. Really they made him as fit as he was back in 1955. Clara was 37, so if you say by quarter then Doc is 37(4) which is 148.

Yeah, Biff tried to rape his wife, but George is a nice and forgiving guy while Biff is actually making up for past sins to him, plus if it wasn't for him they wouldn't have had a wealthy family.

The accident didn't really ruin Marty's life, but it did ruin his dream, which at a kid his age is probably still undetermined. A kid going to jail is worse than that because Marty has a nice life anyway, and its better he learns to have control over his "don't call me chicken" problem by himself.

Re: #8 Back To The Future

The average person doesn't have photographic memory, so they're probably not going to remember exactly what someone looks like even 13 years after they last saw someone, when they only saw him for 2 weeks, and not a single photograph was taken. Even if Marty was their first child, he obviously would share features of both his mom and dad at birth and while growing up, so even then it's unlikely they would draw any comparisons to the memory of how that weird kid looked.
Like I said though, that's if he was their first child. He was actually the youngest child of 3, meaning that even if either of them did actually have a photographic memory, it would just seem to be a really odd coincidence that their kid grew up to look exactly like that one kid that hooked them up and was never seen again, some odd 30 years ago.
Finally, Hill Valley isn't exactly a giant metropolis , and people didn't exactly have the ability to share music back then either. So hearing a version of the song they heard at the dance on the radio 3 years later would've probably only resulted in people saying "Chuck Berry? Hey, come to think of it that band at our dance was "Marvin Berry and the Starlighters", and that weird kid we've never seen again played that song". I doubt that any ideas of time travel would've entered into the cause/effect scenario.
In the end, a lot of this stuff (including the Calvin Klien thing) would boil down to some serious deja vu - but It would be hard to believe that George McFly would ever think that Marty wasn't his son.
