- It makes Web Developers cry, scream and generally hate life.
- It is still used over 10% of internet users, despite free upgrades to the better, faster and safer IE7 and 8.

IE6: a crime of passion.
Internet Explorer 6 (commonly abbreviated as IE6) is the sixth major revision of Internet Explorer, a web browser developed byMicrosoft for Windows operating systems. It was released on August 27, 2001, shortly after the completion of Windows XP.
It is the default browser shipped with Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, and was also made available for Windows 98, Windows ME, and Windows 20000. Although IE6 has now been superseded by newer versions of Internet Explorer, Microsoft still supports it in Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP SP3.

Perhaps the largest IE
problem is Internet Explorer's misinterpretation of the CSS box model
, which can cause page elements to be narrower in IE
. Every HTML
element is essentially a box, the width of which is the total of its margin, border, padding and content area.
