Cracked on Battlestar Galactica
The story of Battlestar Galactica begins a long time, uh, before now, in a galaxy far, far... from here. Humanity lives on 12 planets, called the Colonies of Kobol, until they are promptly wiped out by evil robots, called Cylons (featured in the Cracked article 6 Evil Henchmen Who Sucked at Their Job).
Luckily, there's some spaceships left, among them the titular Battlestar, with about 50,000 chronic alcoholics on board. Rather than risk the survival of the human race in a badass space fight, they puss out and hightail it for Earth. Their search for this mythical planet and the hope that it represents for a steady supply of tobacco and grain alcohol is the driving premise of the show.

Hey Cracked! Update this damn page.
ReplyA wise Adama once said: "I'm gonna go to the head, do something constructive. A little project I've been working on."
Replyjust started the pilot, is there anything i should know, my fellow cracked community?
Reply Hide All See All 3 RepliesIt's the best T.V. you will ever see, and if not that at the very least the best sci-fi (assuming you mean the new series). Everything about it is top-notch, the music, the characters, the plot, even the special effects. A lot of people don't like the finale, but other than that there's not a whole lot wrong with it. Gaius Baltar is the best television character ever, and IT'S IN THE FRAKKING SHIP!!!!!!
I just finished the series two days ago, and it was the best ending for a television series (not that I nenessarily was happy with how it ended) in style, tying up loose ends, etc. The fact that I wasn't happy with it was more to do with the way the characters' stories ended...
Troll bait
a friend lent me the pilot episode, for two hours NOTHING exciting happened. The original was way better.
Reply Hide All See All 3 RepliesGo to hell.
Nobody likes you, and no one will lament your passing.

Everyone hates your stupid face BrockVentura
WTF, what's up with the stub page? I mean, I understand that writing a decent BSG topic page is a serious undertaking, and the author should feel some pressure to make it good, but what's the point of this? Just so they could claim the topic as their own?
Reply Hide All See All 4 RepliesPlus, I can see that the first comment was made in June. It's now October. So I'm guessing this topic will NOT, in all likelihood, ever be finished.
Weak.
Life took a turn for the busy right when I was getting ready to put some serious work into this. I know I've been putting it off but I really do still intend to update. Sorry to disappoint BSG fans, I'm going to make a point to get on this within the week.
The spirit is willing, but the sauce is so weak...
and a week later...
And 2 years later...
tobacco my ass, those fuckers were smokin' hydro blunts from that biosphere ship
ReplyYES! There's one scene in one of the last three epis where Adama looks at Rosalind and is like, "hey". She replies with, "It's medicinal!"
I think by my name you can tell i am a BSG Fan.
ReplyBSG FTW!
Holy shit. I know it's not finished, but I already know this is going to be my favourite Topic Page ever. EVER.
