Heroin might seem fine and dandy, and hell, all the cool kids are doing it right? What's the harm, right? Well, besides ending up like certain washed up celebrities, having awful health problems, and losing everything, there really is no harm at all.
Heroin is a deadly drug. And unfortunately like most deadly drugs, it comes with a handful of deadly health problems. Some of these include, but are not limited to: liver disease, cellulitis, collapsed veins, infection of heart lining and valves, malnutrition...
Oh, and since you're using needles (which more than likely aren't clean) you are also at risk for more serious diseases, such as hepatitis and/or HIV/AIDS
Quitting anything is a real pain in the ass, but imagine the pain of quitting a highly addictive and damaging substance. Not fun whatsoever.
Here are just some of the withdrawal symptoms:
- Muscle/bone pain
To make it worse, withdrawal symptoms start happening 48 to 72 hours after the last dose.
So it's a lose-lose situation if you ever start using heroin. You could either be miserable trying to quit or end up looking like this from using it:
From reading the health problems that heroin causes, you could probably deduce that if you do heroin, you'll probably be fucked up (and not in the good sense). On top of that, heroin overdoses are not uncommon, and from the sounds of it, quite painful since you basically suffocate.
Of course, people don't always die from drug overdoses. But because heroin addicts get withdrawal symptoms rather quickly and the time period to get treatment for ODs is rather short, death is rather likely.
Don't do heroin. Ever. Or else you'll look like this guy:
