The Dark Knight
If you are reading this right now, there is a 100% chance that you have seen the Dark Knight. It was an intense, dramatic film with flawless comedic relief starring Heath Ledger with other actors making cameos to lessen the awesomeness.
Just The Facts
- The Dark Knight is the sequal to the popular Batman Begins movie directed by Christopher Nolan to be mortifyingly realistic.
- The new batman franchise has yet to find an attractive woman to play the love intrest for Bruce Wayne.
- The movie won 2 oscars the year it came out, including one for recently deceased Heath Ledger as best supporting actor.
- why so serious is the most overquoted line since wazzap. And if you've said it before, punch yourself in the face.
Heath Ledger as the Joker
Arguably the most talked about performance by any actor of any character in movie history, Ledger clearly redefined the character of the Joker. The evolution of the Joker can be seen here. Ledger won an Oscar and coined several phrases, such as "why so serious," "wanna know how I got these scars," and "ima fuck you with my clown shaped dick*" *ommitted from version of the Dark Knight you have seen There is also speculation that the role of the Jokert was too traumatizing for Ledger's sanity. While this may seem unrealistic, Consider how batshit crazy Jack Nicklson is then realize he advised ledger to watch the fuck out.
The rest of the Movie
While some of you may be saying.... there was more to the Dark Knight then Heath Ledger? we at cracked like to apreciate art in the subtler, less apreciated parts of a movie, such as the bloodspater of a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick victum or the obvious fakeness of the fights in Rocky (seriousely, just turn off the volume and watch bad miming action). Take for instance the music of Hans Zimmer, which set a dramatic mood to the movie as you neglected to listen to it, or the blatant unatractivness of Maggie Gyllenhaal. And it's very important not to forget how hard it would be to not laugh at the "masked" voice of Batman. Hell, the terribleness of Christian Bale's acting makes us almost miss Adam West.
Come Back to us Adam West. But leave the tights... we dont need those

too morbid for my own opinion
Replyhate to be the oddball (not really, i quite enjoy it) but the Dark Knight was horribly written. the acting was great, the comedy was amusing, heath did great (sucks about him), but the entire story line was pointless. there was barely any interaction with the joker and batman, and why was harvey dent even there? they just threw his ass in for absolutely no reason. the whole love triangle between bruce, whatever her name is, and harvey wasn't as stressed as it should be. they put all their focus on the joker and not on the main character. it's called THE DARK KNIGHT not JOKER STABS GUY IN FACE WITH PENCIL. if they would have taken out harvey dent (who has, really, no business being there if he's just going to fall off a balcony) and gave batman and joker more scenes, i think it would have been a shitload better than it actually was.

i get your idea but the thing is that the movie "works" better this way
.... have you ever seen or read any other batman material? harvey dent was two face. important character.
My only problem with the Dark Knight is that something so disturbing shouldn't sell itself as simple action entertainment. I thought it was a great movie, but not particularly watchable.
I don't want to sound rude, or like I'm insulting the intelligence of the author of this article, but some critics have pointed out that BatBale's voice is intentionally odd, and that the actor does this on purpose. Bale makes Batman's voice so weird to show the audience how Wayne is becoming more and more dramatic with his alter ego, trying to appear to criminals not as a man, but a creature, and in doing this, the boundaries between Bruce Wayne and Batman start to disappear. It would also help if this a*****e actually knew who to write, but it might take awhile just to grasp the whole Batman-voice-thing, so he should get some time to sort it out.
ReplyI believe Maggie Gyllenhaal is one of the ugliest things ever perceived by the human mind. Seriously...
Replyat least katie holmes was a hot rachel
@ALL OF YOU
Replyi reely am going to ask a question and have read all of the comments and this applies to all of them
WHY SO SERIOUS?
i agree with Jeditigger, it was the best batman movie ever, and christian bale is batman, and their is no argument to change these facts
ReplyDid you just ask Adam West to remove his tights? Now there's something I'm not so sure I wanna see...
ReplyI would dearly love to have this topic to give it a better shake than this BS. Fail.
