When a director begins to cut corners in any film, whether it be in camera-work, cast, money, length, music, or artistic attitude, it becomes a sub-par film, and this is the reason why Stanley Kubrick should be considered a fountainhead in this millennium where the top grossing films of the year are limited to robotic cars and wizard school.
