The ShamWow Guy
Just The Facts
- Vince Schlomi, aka Vince Offer, or as he is more commonly know around the internet, The ShamWow Guy, vaulted himself into minor celebrity status by being one of the most annoying men in America. He also sold super absorbant towels.
- After his success selling the ShamWow, Vince moved on to selling the SlapChop and shared with the world that you're gonne love his nuts.
- Before his introduction as The ShamWow Guy, Vince wrote, directed, and acted in The Underground Comedy Movie. It was not good.
- Recently Vince was thrust back into the internet spotlight when he was arrested for felony battery after an altercation with a prostitute.
- Vince is a former member of The Church of Scientology, but was outcasted after being charged with multiple crimes against Scientology. It's reported that his crimes against Scientology are actually a covert propoganda coverup of The Church's view that the film was so offensive that he needed to be
The Movie
Vince wrote, directed, and acted in The Underground Comedy Movie, released and screened in 1999. The movie is based on sketches Offer originally performed on a cable access show he had hosted. Before completion of the movie Vince, who had previously been a successful vegetable chopper salesmen (that is not a joke) and businessman, was forced to sell vegetable choppers at swap meets to obtain enough financing to complete the film.
Upon completion Vince advertised the movie on late night infomercials and reportedly sold over 100,000 copies of the film. It is assumed that over 90,000 of those people were either elderely persons who mistakenly ordered it thinking they were getting Matlock, or teenagers who had used their parents credit cards to order the movie based solely off the fact it combined dick humor and hot, attractive women. The other 10,000 were obviously drunk or high.
ShamWow
Following his success selling The Underfround Comedy Movie on late-night infomercials Vince decided to do the same with a cleaning product he had found at a flea market. He called it the ShamWow.
Vince's condescending attitude, annoying voice, and apparent need to wear a headset even though it wasn't plugged into anything propelled Vince into the internet limelight and made him a minor internet star. According to Vince he sold millions of the towels due to his infomercial and had many people calling him the next Billy Mays.
The ShamWow infomercial itself has spawned many parody and remix videos thus proving that people will put whatever shit they can think of on Youtube, including parody videos of already horrible late night infomercials.
Slap Chop
After his success with the ShamWow, Vince decided to dip back into his kitchen utensil selling past and in 2008 appeared in his second infomercial selling a kitchen utensil called the Slap Chop. Once again Vince proved it impossible to make a succesful infomercial without the use of a condescending attitude and headset. He also brought us notable phrases such as "You're gonna love my nuts" and "This tuna looks boring, stop having a boring tuna, stop having a boring a life."
Attack of the Hoo... Sorry, Attack of the Prostitute
In February of 2009, Vince was arrested in Miami Beach, Fl and charged with felony battery after an altercation in his hotel room with a prostitute. In what may be the most absurd news story of 2009, Vince told police that he hit the prostitute when she bit his tongue and would not let go. Prosecutors later declined to file formal charges against either, presumably after asking themselves, "Seriously?"

My mom wanted one for christmas but I was worried I would spend $20 on a colored paper-towel. Plus what kinda gift is that. Why would she even ask.
