Well, maybe she didn't, but someone sent me this page on Facebook.

It's a group complaining about how Oprah claimed on her show that it's okay to tip 10% in a recession.  It has over forty six thousand angry members, many leaving hateful comments about what a horrible person Oprah really is.  The thing is, as a couple of members of the group have tried to point out, there is no evidence that Oprah said this.  In fact she came out and stated that she didn't. 

I thought it was a really good example of how celebrities and politicians can have their reputation tarnished so easily.  People are so ready to believe 'the real truth' about how bad someone is, it takes very little to convince them of something negative.  And how easy it is to make accusations with no evidence behind them, then suddenly it falls on the celebrity or politician to come up with evidence that the accusations are false.

I like that it's called "1 million servers strong against Oprah's comments" but there are only 56,000 members.  Only 944,000 more to go, guys!

anytime I eat babies , I leave a pretty generous tip because you want to be on the right side of these kind of buisnesses . you could wind up on the menu  yourself .

I don't think he realizes that pieces of punctuation are actually allowed to touch letters.

I think he really is foreign. I've met a bunch of Asian people who do the same thing with their punctuation marks.
