Amazon and Walmart are in a price war. They have JDATE down to $14.61 on Amazon:

Pretty cool for the consumer. Does this affect what you get paid? Is it a total commission on final sales, or is it a fixed amount? I'm totally ignorant as to how the publishing process goes, being an unpublished nobodyface.

Yeah, I get paid a percentage so my royalties drop when the cover price does. But that's a trivial factor, at this point in my writing career it's more important to be able to say I sold X copies than to say I made X money. Nobody cares about that.

Barnes and Noble has it back down in price as well, $16.24 for those of us who use Paypal for online purchases.
