Are there any plans to release JDatE on the Kindle book?

EDIT: It is available right now for the Kindle. Other outlets like Barnes and Noble seem to have their own editions available.

A school town girl on a Saturday night. Small town? Whatever. The emphasis is on diminutive feminimity.

I have my Kindle copy preordered right now.

I'm just waiting on some bastard to upload it to the server so I can download it and read it and enjoy it so very much at long last.  I've been fighting off the rather counterintuitive urge to just bugger off to Wal-Mart and see if they have it physically.  I should be sleeping, but I went to sleep extra-early so I could catch what I thought would be its midnight release from the website.

This thread should be merged or tossed out now the original question is answered.

But what about John and Dave and the Temple of X'al'naa"thuthu? Any way to get a digital copy of that aside from copying and pasting each page from the website?

And about the Kindle release... is there any way to buy a copy without having a Kindle and then get it onto another machine? I live outside of the US like a sucker, and so the Kindle's download anywhere is unavailable to me.

I don't think so. I think the format is for Kindle reader only.

What about the ebook they're advertising on Barnes and Noble?

I did some googling and apparently Barnes and Noble's ebooks work only on an ereader that hasn't been released yet (as well as iPhones, Blackberries and PC & Mac, but that shit'll kill your eyes).

I'm sure Sony's bookstore will get it eventually, so I guess I'll wait patiently.

No, not really.

And either way, I've already got an e-reader (Sony's PRS-300), so it wouldn't help me with JDATE.

I figured I'd try to buy it from B&N anyways and see if Calibre could convert it for my reader, but they won't sell it to me because my credit card is not American.

Why doesn't anyone want my business?

I made a request for Sony to get it on their bookstore, and now it's there!

And as soon as I'm finished upgrading my computer, it'll be on my eReader as well.

Edit: Cancel that. It's "US only," says Sony. What. The. Fuck.

nook™ (the BN e-reader) is only set up for use within the US right now; that is, it will work anywhere but you can only download new titles for it while in the US.   Currently, the only way to get one is to pre-order it.  I imagine they won't take a foreign credit card because the device won't download overseas.
IF you wanted one...someone here in the States would have to buy it for you, have it shipped to them, they would have to download all the titles you wanted (*up to a million, including the four free downloads you get when you buy nook™) and then ship it to you, where you would be able to read your books but not get any more, without shipping it back to your friend in the States.
I am willing to be that friend, as long as you pay all the shipping and duty and so forth.  Where do you live?

Since the whole point (as far as I can tell) of an ebook reader is convenience, I think that would completely curbstomp the purpose.
