Didn't batman die and get replaced by the first Robin recently?  Awfully suspicious that batman would mysteriously drop dead and robin would take his place almost instantly.  The kind of man who would kill his old mentor just for a job is exactly the sort of person who would rape and murder batman twenty years ago.
