Yeah I'm gonna do like oball and hit up my local bookstore.

Also an aside, the Macmillan page lists you as "editor-in-chief of Cracked.com". Does Jack know you're his boss now, Dave? Have you been making him do coffee runs for your amusement?

There you go Wong.  Now how the hell do I get this brilliant thing signed with a special warning about my future?

Btw, I got the best deal from Overstock.com though if I was ordering multiple books I might have gone elsewhere.

Cheers.

I pre-ordered from Amazon japan, because I have no choice, really. You should see the prices that earlier, out of print versions are going for there.  At least one used book was being offered for over 3,000 US. I would have ordered from Overstock dot com, currently the cheapest source at 14.86 (sorry, David... but I don't think that actually cuts into your wallet, if I understand correctly?) but shipping from the US would have cost more than buying if from Amazon here. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it.... I missed my chance with the earlier versions of the book. And I want David to know that I like his style. (both writing, and personal) for offering up his book free to read online the way he did in the beginning.   You rock David!

Already got the Cafe Press version, signed Permuted Press (though that's currently with an ex girlfriend), and according to the shipping details of my Amazon pre-order, by November 16 2009 I will be the proud owner of the hardback version too.

And for any non-US people looking for the hardcover on Amazon (it took a little bit to find): http://www.amazon.com/John-Dies-End-David-Wong/dp/031255513X/ref=sr_oe_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1246971061&sr=1-1

I noticed it was up on Amazon UK about a week ago, so naturally I preordered the shit out of it there and then. Will encourage friends to do the same!

I got the email two minutes ago. 30 seconds ago I preordered the shit out of this epic boom of awesomeness!

By the way, just so you know, I'm from Costa Rica. I'm having delivered here through a company that gives me an actual shipping address in Miami, so my order isn't international. I'm just saying this so you know that there are ways for us outside of the US to get this book, and hell if it isn't well worth the effort.

Preordered from macmillan because I was too sleepy to realize "check 'other sellers' link" means that I would save money.  Eh, with any luck the extra money will make it's way to Wong's pocket where it belongs instead of some  jackass, supercilious editor or (god forbid) copy editor.

I pre-ordered it via Amazon. Should make it across the pond sometime in late October, just in time for polar bear hunting season.

That cover is fucking awesome. Much better than the previous version with the two not-john-and-dave-looking fellas with pasted-on guns.

That cover looks great.  It's the kind of thing I'd pick up even if I had no idea what it was about.  I just pre-ordered my copy.

Preordered; hopefully the book won't cause my eyeballs to explode from utter win or evil.  Eh.  It's worth it either way.
