I saw on the JDatE Twitter that pre-orders would be starting soon, so I idly Googled "john dies at the end" "st martin's press" to see if there was a page up on the publisher's website yet.  What I found was a Barnes & Noble page that shows what I guess is going to be the cover of the book:

I did a search and I think this hasn't been posted yet, although if it has I apologise.

I also apologise if it hasn't been posted and Dave was planning on doing a big reveal of it, although I figured if it can be found with a Google search it's not exactly the world's biggest secret.

I hope that is the real cover, because it is frankly one of the best book covers I have ever seen.

That is in fact the cover.

They went through many, many cover designs. They showed me that one and I said, "yep."

They showed me a bunch of other covers that artist has done, they're all awesome

Also if you flip the book over, you see that the hand is severed.

Wow Dave, that is the coolest cover of a novel that I have ever seen, bar none.

Any chance we can see some of the rejected covers?

Any significance to the scribbled-out Ben Franklin quote?

Yes, if the cover chosen was this good, I can only wonder what the others looked like, good or bad.

I think this needs to be brought to everyone's attention:

Quote from: Barnes and Nobel
Customers who bought this also bought
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments Series #1) - Cassandra Clare
Day by Day Armageddon - J. L. Bourne, Travis Adkins, Z. A. Recht
Breaking Dawn - Stephenie Meyer

I think that is everything we ever need to know about this book, Mr Wong.

So, you're really publishing it as David Wong? It doesn't say Jason Pargin on the spine?

Oh yeah, it has to be published under "David Wong." Part of JDATE's charm is the way it poses as an autobiography. It would lose something if the name on the cover and the name of the narrator were different.
