I recently found out an incredible fact.

Mexicans make webcomics too! And most of them suck! But this one is true, utter genius.

It's called Bunsen (like the torches), here it is in the original Spanish and here's some guy who's translating them into English as a learning exercise.

Anyway, one of my favorites:

This one also deserves a mention, if only for the fact that the artist appears to have been to a cheesefest before.

Oh man, now you've got me all misty-eyed.

Laika's story has always been able to make me sad, ever since this song.

Anyway, since this is the incredible comics thread and not the tearjerker song thread, here's this:

From Miles Grover's new comic, Creephouse.

The challenge is to see how many pre-existing books we can write with it.

Snow Crash: In an alternate-history America, a techno-obsessed geek stumbles across an encrypted data feed, which spurs him into conflict with a government conspiracy with the help of a sarcastic female techno-geek and her condescending tone, culminating in a daring rescue preceding a giant explosion.

Deception Point: In an alternate-history Antartica, a young author self-insert stumbles across an "alien artefact" which spurs him into conflict with a government conspiracy, with the help of a female who inexplicably becomes attracted to the damaged protagonist for unstated reasons and her cleavage, culminating in a heroic sacrifice that no one will remember.

I don't know about anybody else but I think I would read a comic just about King Radical, he gets cooler every day.

I dare you to find a better monocle-based strip.

I'm still a huge fan of KC Green's Gunshow. It's one of the best strips out there. I wish the update schedule was a bit more consistent but oh well.

I think I've had this nightmare before...

What I love about Kate Beaton's work is that if you just glanced at it it sort of looks poorly-drawn, until you look closer and see the incredibly subtle things she does with posture and expressions that completely sell the joke.

Here's just a taste of the newest hiimdaisy comic:

It's about Persona 4. I've never played it, but that doesn't stop me from loving this comic.
