I know, kind of like Jimmy Corrigan, but I think I liked it more, because it didn't make me as sad.

Penny Arcade: Toothpaste for Dinner: Kind of a no-brainer, but Dr. McNinja is all kinds of awesome. I'm not sure it's possible to find a single comic that can accurately portray the overall awesomeness of the series. My favorite has always been the one with a ninja punching a pirate through a boat.

Guys, the whole point of this thread is to post single strips. I realise it can be hard to pick out a single strip from a story based comic, but please make the effort. If you just want to link your favourite comics there is already a thread for that.

Gunnerkrigg Court is another of my favorites, being incredibly cute, well-written, and well-thought-out. Stupid people call it a Harry Potter ripoff, because it is not allowed for there to be two different stories involving British schoolchildren and magic. And MSPaint Adventures is one of the most entertaining endeavors I've ever seen undertaken. My second recommendation: FREAKANGELS (AKA Did you know that Warren Ellis had a webcomic?) It is about a gang of psychically-supercharged twentysomethings living in post-apocalyptic Whitechapel. And it is written by Warren Ellis and illustrated by Paul Duffield. That's really all you need to know. Oh, and there are healthy helpings of tits, violence, and sass-talk. Brilliant! First page: Tits!
