The "Worst Webcomic" thread is a huge downer. So let's get some good comics in here.

Post single strips that really, truly made you laugh (out loud, even), and a link to the comic.

I'll start it off with this masterpiece from Pictures for Sad Children:

Oh boy!

Since so much of what was awful about the Worst Webcomic thread came from furry comics, I figure I'll share a comic that features anthropomorphic animals (well, just anthropomorphic cats, really) and is also amazing.

LACKADAISY

It's a comic about bootleggers in St. Louis during prohibition.  It is impeccably researched, flawlessly illustrated, and expertly written.  There is nothing bad or even mediocre about this comic.  It is excellence.

Samples:

Here's the first comic:

Here's some artwork the creator did:

I agree wholeheartedly with both of these, and also nominate Jonny Crossbones*, which is basically TinTin but starring a dude in a skeleton suit.

Oh, and Dr Shenanigans, as much as I love Lackadaisy Cats, the author is (while extremely talented) kind of a furry.

I love Australian military history, and therefore I love this comic by Kate Beaton:

Is Mordecai (The hatchetman) supposed to be a reference to Brick from Snatch? Both of them are sadistic, Jewish mobsters who feed the body/ies of their victim(s) to pigs.

She seems to have turned all her furry characters into humans some time around 2004.

I think she can be considered an escapee.

Brick Top wasn't Jewish and in that strip you linked the cat with the axe is the one resisting the idea of the pig farm.

I realize that he thinks the idea is a joke, but simply presenting him in a situation wherein he can (and in the next comic, does) feed a body to pigs is enough to enforce the relationship.

Also, he wasn't Jewish? Fuck it's been a long time since I've seen that movie...

No, Doug the Head, Frankie Four Fingers and Cousin Avi were the jews. Brick Top was just a 'orrible cunt.

I've been reading Three Panel Soul since it started after the death of Mac Hall. Ian's art style variation and astute observations keeps me coming back. One weeks entry had me laughing at the idea for a good while.

I give you Lucid TV, in which the doctors at the Jim Belushi Memorial Hospital have a cheerful lack of ethics, a complete disregard for morality or human decency, and some truly excellent hair.

You missed perhaps the greatest Lucid TV.

KC Green does a lot of neat stuff, but my favourite is probably Gunshow.

That is one of my favourite strips, but I've been trying to cut down on the number of Twin Peaks references that appear in my daily life.

This thread is such a great relief after all of that other nonsense.

When I first opened that one comic about some wiccan cat girl who hates her boobs, the next thing I noticed was a link to this comic. At first I was afraid it would be a bunch of melodramatic sappy romance, (which it still has the potential of becoming), but so far I've been getting really into it. It's still working its way through the beginning of the story. The artist for the comic, Sarah Ellerton, is also behind this comic. That second one is alright, but it's mostly sappy romance from what I've read. And that's not how I roll.
