If you have a little of spare time and you desire the company of an attractive,sensual and sophisticated man, then I might me the person you are looking for. I am elegant and yet refined. A strong,intricate and kind aura protects a soft, femine and generous nature. I long for, in the most practical way, taking the time to enjoy experiences, and finding humour in everyday situations. I do have hopes, goals, and dreams which I may tell you about as I get to know you. But on daily basis, I try to savour all the small moments that make up my larger lifetime. There is a quote I like: "Enjoy yourself. It's later than you think". Life seems so short. Spending time with me is to be in the company of someone who is relaxing and easy to be with. I have a passionate and calming zest for life that will leave you breathless. While in my company expect to let yourself go with me, completely and totally. You will never forget that experience. Seducer or seduced, from the moment I meet you your passions and dreams will be shared by us both. But expect our enjoyment to be mutual as I have an easily roused passion for what I do. Above all discretion is as important to me as it is to you so you can be assured our time together is only between you and I. Character: Sexy, Seductive, Independent, Delightful, Sweet, Naughty and Refined. Favorite quote: It's better to burn out than to fade away. Interests: Dance, Film, Graphic and Web Design, Languages, Travelling, Books, Art...and of course enjoy having some intimate and personal time with someone special! Rules: I consider good manners , a pleasant personality and a gentle caring dispositions the essential ingredients of a "Gentleman". What scares me: The amount of anger and hatred burning in the hearts of others. I was not aware of how many people suffer from such crippling jealousy, self-loathing and contempt until I got online. It is both pitiful and very frightening. What I consider sexy in a man? Intelligence, genuine warmth and the ability to express his affection in ways other than sexual. It is my wish that you will remember our experience together fondly, long after we've said goodbye! As you might be able to tell I desire you to feel well received, comfortable, and to be able to enjoy yourself - even if only for a short time. If I have aroused your curiosity or any other thing for that matter, please come see me...to learn more..

If you have a little of spare time and you desire the company of an attractive,sensual and sophisticated man, then I might me the person you are looking for.

Who writes something this long and soul-exposing, then doesn't take ten seconds to run a spell check? "I might me the person you are looking for"? It's like getting hit on by someone with a divot in their forehead.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
I am elegant and yet refined.

Elegant is a synonym for refined, so you don't need to say "yet". This suggests you're giving examples of disparate qualities. I probably don't need to tell you this, though, seein' how goldurned sophistimicated y'all are.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
A strong,intricate and kind aura protects a soft, femine and generous nature.

Looks like somebody got a thesaurus for their birthday. Just, you know, not a dictionary. Someone also doesn't know what "intricate" means, apparently. Also it's spelled feminine. Or perhaps famine, I have no idea what you were trying to say here. And having a soft nature makes about as much sense as having an intricate aura, i.e. it doesn't.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
I long for, in the most practical way, taking the time to enjoy experiences...

Thank God for that. I think I speak for potential mates everywhere that when they see someone enjoying himself impractically, that relationship is pretty much over.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
...and finding humour in everyday situations.

So, you're like everyone else on the planet then. You're trying to make it clear you don't find humor in extraordinary, supernatural situations? Like teleporting through wormholes or burrowing into the center of the earth? Not amusing?

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
I do have hopes, goals, and dreams which I may tell you about as I get to know you.

I'll bet they're lining up 'round the block.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
But on daily basis, I try to savour all the small moments that make up my larger lifetime.

So you strive not to squander the small spare seconds of the span of your alliteration-packed sentience? It's a good thing you're attractive, sensual and sophisticated, because your poetry's ass and you wouldn't know where to put a comma to save your larger lifetime.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
There is a quote I like: "Enjoy yourself. It's later than you think".

That's a pretty sophisticated quote. What is that, Plutarch?

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
Life seems so short.

Plus it's later than you think.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
Spending time with me is to be in the company of someone who is relaxing and easy to be with.

...someone who doesn't mind endlessly packing his sentences with synonyms in an effort to sound smarter and more intelligent...

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
I have a passionate and calming zest for life that will leave you breathless.

Will I be breathless because I'm so calmed, or because of the passion? Or will I have simply forgotten to breathe, trying to figure out how something can be passionate and calming at the same time?

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
While in my company expect to let yourself go with me, completely and totally.

I'm not sure if I can completelly let myself go in your company, tennisball. Is it alright if I just let myself go totally?

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
You will never forget that experience.

I don't doubt it.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
Seducer or seduced, from the moment I meet you your passions and dreams will be shared by us both. But expect our enjoyment to be mutual as I have an easily roused passion for what I do. Okay, now you're just embarrassing yourself. I'm not even going to comment here.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
Favorite quote: It's better to burn out than to fade away.

That's almost three times as sophisticated as that other quote you got off the back of that Sugar Crisp box!

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball

"Interests: Languages".

Uh huh. Which ones?

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
Travelling, Books, Art...and of course enjoy having some intimate and personal time with someone special!

Yes, I think you might have even mentioned that already once.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
Rules: I consider good manners , a pleasant personality and a gentle caring dispositions the essential ingredients of a "Gentleman".

Are you looking for a man or a woman here? If a woman, are you asking her to be a gentleman? Or are you just trying to make her aware of the rules you abide to yourself, so she can spot you and see if you're slipping when you're out on dates? If you're gay -- wow, you really didn't do any fieldwork before posting here, did you?

Also, how many gentle caring dispositions do you have? Did you grab a few off eBay?

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
What scares me: The amount of anger and hatred burning in the hearts of others".

Translation: You would not believe how much I get picked on.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
I was not aware of how many people suffer from such crippling jealousy, self-loathing and contempt until I got online. It is both pitiful and very frightening.

Tennisball, if you could prove there was someone out there who was jealous of you, then yes, I agree that would be the most frightening and pitiful thing I'd ever heard.

Quote from: Alfred Lord Tennisball
What I consider sexy in a man? Intelligence, genuine warmth and the ability to express his affection in ways other than sexual. It is my wish that you will remember our experience together fondly, long after we've said goodbye! I need to know, guy or girl, anyone -- does this work for anyone here? The mock intellectual, eyes staring at the horizon with teeth gritted, red wine and candlight, impressive-sounding words, all that? You can see it's bullshit, right?

I ask merely because if it turns out it actually works, then I can double up my synonyms as well as the next guy. For instance, did you know I want and yearn for you with love and passion?

Though I am troubled and concerned about your hostile replies. Isn't there a tiny bit of interest, love-wise? Anyway, you must respect my poem, or piece of writing if you will, because I am clearly more refined than you are. If you don't understand my work, than don't crank out negative comments like that. I had appreciated a serious review of my writing. For you uneducated peeps out there who still want to give it a shot, try to look for the following hidden aspects, or "writing tricks" in layman's terms:

* Metaphor

This is one of the most obvious ways. A metaphor isn't just a representation of another object-- the object it represents conveys an *idea*. To give a very clicheé example-- hearts represent love.  If I write a poem comparing a factory to a beating heart, I might be really talking about love (or not!).

* Allusion

An allusion is a borrowing of words or concepts from another work of literature in order to implement what those words or concepts convey.

* Connotation

Connotation is those ideas and feelings that a word suggests.  Take the word "bite". It's a fairly generic word. If you use the word "chomp", it suggests a very decisive kind of bite. A "nibble" is weaker or more timid. Using words that have a greater connotation, according to the poem's context, can add impact to the poem.

* Sound and rhythm

A lot could be said on this subject. Suffice it to say that line length, beat, the choice of predominant vowels, the choice of predominant consonants, alliteration, etc can add to the poem's effect.

* Succinctness

In general, in a poem, it's better to say something in fewer words rather than more. Also, eliminating unnecessary "boring" words  and phrases that are common and replacing them with more suggestive words can help.

* Word play and puns

I once wrote a poem called "The Most Beautiful Period of My Life". It was about youth, except that the poem ends with the narrator getting her menstrual period after fearing she was pregnant. The double-entendre of the word "period" made the title more interesting and conveyed more ideas than if it hadn't been there.

Alfred. Listen, cupcake.

I have one question for you. Is English your primary language?

If it isn't, then your terrible sentence structure and abysmal grammar can almost--ALMOST--be excused. We have people here whose primaries are about as far from English as it's possible to get, but they somehow contrive to converse in perfect idiomatic English.

If it is, then you only have two possible excuses for your train-wreck posts:

1. You're twelve years old. If you are, go away and come back when your testicles drop. Abuse of children is distasteful to us.

2. You're messing with us. If so, congratulations. We've risen to the bait magnificently. However judging by the length of-- and lack of funny in-- your posts, I don't think that's the case.

I think you want us to take you seriously.

First of all, posting in the poetry section of the forums of a HUMOR WEBSITE should perhaps clue you in that on most occasions, much abuse will be flung--and that's what we do to the posts we like.

If you want to be taken seriously in this forum, you will have to accept that most people will disregard your wishes. This is a simple fact. And when someone does take you seriously, my little cream cake, believe that they're going to tell you the truth. If you suck, you'll hear about it.

And you do suck. Hard.

Don't presume to teach anyone here about writing. You haven't got the skills.  If you want to impress someone, I suggest you go to one of the many thousands of MSN chat rooms. There are legions of semi-literate mouth-breathers there who would think you're a friggin' genius.

Unfortunately, there are too many genuine friggin' geniuses at PWOT for you to be able to succeed in that particular scam here.

Feel free to keep posting, however. There's endless sig material in the dreck you're churning out. Just don't expect anyone to fall at your feet because of it.

Kissies.

Alderaan, listen. I DO want you to take me seriously, but there's no point arguing about my english skills as they far surpass yours - obviously. I have not come hear to try to teach people english, but rather I teach about the essence of love, and how it can be translated into the written world. You see, love is very special thing and you can't keep me from conveying (ore trying to convey) my evangelium of peace, love and democracy and freedom of speak. My previous post was not ment to educate, but more or less try to steer you guys in on my way of think, so to speak. I hope I have answered your question.

Thank you, I kiss you back.
