Yeah, according to this dude's penal code, it's ok to violate a copyright if it's a) a pop song, and b) not used to make fun of someone.

I am pretty sure his "lawyers" are "guys at the gym" so they probably think that would fly. I am hoping they post a badly worded "cease and desist" letter to the Youtube commentary.

YouTube will probably just bin the video soon. Their admin department are probably fed up with all these crazy spammers screaming about terrorism.

If anyone wants to download that video and redistribute it elsewhere I promise I won't sue.

Meanwhile I'll get to work on the techno remix as soon as I figure out how to use Fruit Loops.

Even in backwater, free speech hating Australia, making videos of douchbags and implying they are homosexual isn't illegal. In the Pauline Pantsdown case a dude edited a bunch of clips of Pauline Hanson's voice (for those non-Australians, she's a crazy ultra-right wing uber-racist ex-politician) to say stuff like "I'm a backdoor man, yes I am, I'm a homosexual", then got it released on national radio to critical acclaim.

He won his case based on fair use and parody. And if it flies in Australia, then I suspect you'll have no dramas in the US.
