I would like to add a Topic page for Red Dwarf to my potential claims on Computer Security and Intelligence Gathering because I am a giant whore for the show (even the later and less interesting seasons).

My friend and I know just about everything there is to know about the British show Coupling. If you decided to add a page, I would gladly volunteer his assistance.

I'd also like to potentially lay claim to a page devoted to the trio of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright.  Shaun of the Dead is among my absolute favorite movies of all time, I love Hot Fuzz more and more with each viewing, I was finally able to see Spaced when it came out and watched the entire series in about a day and a half, and then rewatched it with the commentary, I saw Mission: Impossible 3 almost exclusively because Pegg was in it...etc, etc, etc.  Basically, Pegg can do no wrong in my mind.

Now, there are others (as in some of you Brits) who likely know more about Pegg than I do, so if someone who is truly an expert wants to give it a go, more power to you.  I'd just like to see a page devoted to all things Pegg/Frost/Wright, whether I'm involved or not.

One other topic I'd like to see have a page: Zombie movies/books.  It would be fantastic.  I read every zombie story I can get my hands on, and I own some of the worst zombie movies ever made simply because of my love for zombies.  Again, this isn't necessarily to say I want this one all to myself, but I'd just like to see a topic page for it, regardless of who is the page's editor.

I'd like to be the technology guy.  I am an avid follower and buyer of TVs, computers, phones, etc.

or in the alternative,

I'd also like to be  the job market guy.  I am graduating law school in 5 months and have been following the job market pretty furiously for the last 9 months or so.

or in the alternative,

I'd also like to be the holiday guide guy.  I have ha special training in holidayology, but I just love holidays.  I did write a pretty popular article on Halloween one time and I am a solid contributor to Iron Colonel's cooking threads, so I think that makes me the best man for the job.

I'd love to do all 3, but I'd choose technology then holidays then job market if I had to choose just one.

Also, is there going to be just one editor on each page, or are there going to be co-editors?

Another thing to keep in mind is that a topic may have multiple editors. :)  I saw that ninja was interested in Steven Segal as well.

I'm very happy with how this is turning out and if the beta goes well, it'll be back to coding more functionality for the Topics!

Thanks for the enthusiasm everybody!

We've had a lot of discussion about what would be too broad or too narrow. Ultimately I think we decided that you do it like Wikipedia. Wikipedia has a page for comic books, but also has a page for Green Lantern comic books, and also one for one specific villain in the Green Lantern comics. Then they just all link to each other where appropriate.

I think that's the most logical way, not to really worry about it and just go with the scope the writer wants to tackle.

I am not so much interested in writing about him, as I am in reading what Eddie has to say about him.  That being said though, as a law student/law clerk/former police employee/lover of crime fighting, I would like to help on the legal topic.

I feel like I could do some writing on some of the cooler creatures that are extinct. I'm drawing up ideas for an article about that, and I feel like I could write for hours.

Failing that, I could do some deep-sea biology. I'm not what I'd call an expert in either topic, but I think I know enough to make them interesting. Of course, if there were someone who is an expert, I'd be happy to follow their lead.

I would like to be the editor of the Twilight page, because I find it a topic that is almost impossible to avoid joking about. Also perhaps I could do the House page (I HAVE SEEN EVERY EPISODE). And the Phoenix Wright page.

I have no problem being part of a duo, but the law of Ha ha, I got here first dictates that I get to pick our team name. And also you have to be Robin.

In general, I'd love to tackle anything sports. How specific you guys want to get will help me narrow it down to specific topics. For example, I could go anywhere from Baseball to MLB to Los Angeles Dodgers to Manny Ramirez, again all depending on how specific you are looking for these topics to be. In terms of what I feel most knowledgable about in order:

1. Football
2. Baseball
3. Basketball

And from there, I still have a significant amount of knowledge on soccer, hockey, golf, tennis, etc.

So, I CAN'T do Batman? Damn.

Oh, oh, I request the MST3K page. Can I do that? It'd include keeping track of the accomplishments of the various alumni and subsequent projects and stuff.

Failing that, Stan Lee.

Think it'd be worth it to have a topic for Cracked's Pwot forum? I could do that one too, add links to good threads worth reading. Douche Quadbike, for example.

Could I do a page on Philip K Dick? They keep turning his books into films so it seems like a good person to have a page on and I'm a big fan of his.
