So I went to Borders. I'd been having a lousy day and I figured seeing the book on the shelf would cheer me up. It did. As some of you know, there's an excerpt from Marconi's book Science and the Beyond in the back. I texted John to ask him where I could find more excerpts from the book. He replied with his standard response over the past few weeks: bonerhat It made me think of the guy with the big leather hat at the grill in the sulliwong update, so I took another look. She talked about the second update, where the first letter of each paragraph spelled CAIRO. So I started trying url extensions like a crazy person, including CAIRO with everything else, omitting CAIRO, omitting lines that were a single word, etc... Anyway I turned up a whole pile of nothing on that update. On a whim I decided to try the sulliwong update itself, and I found this: paydirtThere's a db file called thumbs and a zip called "override." The password to the zip is, you guessed it, bonerhat. It contains a jpg, also called override. I've had no luck with the database as of yet. It looks like the list of words North said to David before making him eat the spider. So from the look of it we were right: the words were some sort of trigger-control. What of the spider, I wonder... Anyway, I haven't played with any of the words as extensions, but I'm about to.

It hasn't even arrived yet, and already it's the most profound piece of modern literature to impact my understanding of life and culture. Also I hear it's so scary you'll shit poops.
