Nedroid posted exactly what I wanted to.  But also-- when people say something is bad, a large part of that is taste.  If it's technically right, it can still just be a miss for some people.  And those people would find it bad.  You can keep trying to press the issue and dissect it, but not everyone is going to give you a list of "here's what worked: x, y, and z" and "here's what didn't: a, b, and c" because sometimes it's not an exact science.  Sometimes things just don't click.  And that's perfectly fine.

It seemed like you wanted feedback, and when some people gave you some, you just argued with why they are wrong and threw your hit numbers around in their face.  So even if people did give you friendly feedback, I find it hard to believe that would actually take it to heart.  Your defensive "Well I've got 8k people who would disagree with you!!" seems to suggest to me that you really aren't looking for actual constructive criticism.  You probably just saw Cracked as a referral to your site or googled your site, and when you checked out the thread, you were pretty surprised to find out what people were saying.  It's fine, I feel for you, dude, but like you said, you can't please everyone.  No one's mind or opinion here is going to change with you telling them why their opinion is wrong.  You said yourself that you can't please everyone.  Just realize that is what that is and move on.

E.Exit, Good thoughts.  I hope I wasn't being 'overly' defensive, I really can take critique, otherwise I would never have grown as an artist over the years.  It's people who CAN'T take critique who never grow.  But the critique (the only 'real' critique I could see) was that it wasn't subtle.  But I'm not going for subtle. 

Anyway, maybe I got a little to itchy on the trigger finger... No, not that finger, Nimby.

And what's all this 'go to Keenspot' blather?  Am I missing something here?

You are a good artist. The writing in your comics leaves something to be desired.

Driscoll nailed it. Remember that you're writing it for yourself, then for the people who like it, not for strangers who have expressed they don't like it. If every artist or writer took criticism as personally as you are now, we'd have much less to critique. Stop taking shit so personally, because you're really coming off like a bitch right now.

This forum sure is a pointless waste of time.
