It's been a long time since I last laughed out loud at something I saw on the internet.  Keep makeing these or I will have to track you down and offer you sweeties until you do!

Got to be honest, this punchline didn't do much for me. Still, I like the overall concept.

I like the line, "I'm sorry ma'am, this owl works here.  We can't sell employees, store policy," for some reason.

Were you going to have an intro strip to the arc explaining why he's taking a day job despite being an owl or address that later in the arc?  Because your comment about owls being nocturnal creatures helped explain the situation but it's not actually a part of the comic, so it seems like that would be missing if some people just read the comic.

Yeah, i've actually been writing little paragraphs of diaries for the characters, just to try and establish them better in my mind. A lot of shows and comics have this real awkward THIS IS WHO THIS CHARACTER IS kind of phase, where it seems like the writers don't really know yet themselves. And yet, if you start reading in the middle of the series, you can infer all that stuff naturally by the way the characters act. I'm trying to get past that as quickly as possible.

Or I could be completely wrong. In fact now that I think about it I probably am wrong.

But yeah, I will bring up the nocturnal thing in the strip shortly.

Thanks for the feedback, it keeps me going on this.

This is fantastic.  It's a wonderful combination of funny and whimsy that almost reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes.  I would definitely add this to the list of comics I regularly read, if you plan on keeping it up.

I'd certainly read this regularly, too. You've got real potential here.

You could sell little plush owls!

Driscoll, that last comic hits home: I've done that more than a few times. "Why is Charles Manson destroying the Great Barrier Reef? What did it ever do to him?"

Happens to me all the time. I wasn't sure if it was something other people could relate to, or if I was like 18% insane.

The only thing I might wanna change is using "crips" or "bloods" instead of ms-13. i'm not sure if people really know what that is.

Go with a more well known gang.  I had no clue who your fancy ms-13 was.  Is it like the bad asses at Micrososft?

I dunno, I've heard tons about MS-13 on the history channel (and I assumed this was a reference to falling asleep while watching the history channel). Maybe Bloods or Crips would be better, but they're latino gangs (yay history channel knowledge!). There's always the Latin Kings...I don't really know any other latin gangs, though. I'm sure there are lots of them.

I ditched the whole latin part so I could use the crips, which is too bad. "Brutal latin american gangs" had a nice ring to it.

Eh, I still think the original version was OK. If you hear about "latin american gangs" then "MS13", I figure you should be able to put two and two together.

Stick with your instincts Driscoll.  If you're going to make a comic, it has to be your art, not the combined opinion of a forum of jackasses.  Take the comments for the future, but stick to your guns about what you've already done.

After several minutes of pondering, I've come to the conclusion that it's a small detail, and I'm wasting my time agonizing over it.

That said, I really do want feedback on this, since my ability to judge funnyness is severely impaired after spending an hour and half staring a strip.
