I've just conferred with Mr Moo, and he says he should be able to update his site to accomodate for another contest. This thing is on.

For those who have no idea what's going on, Mr Moo and myself held a drawing contest late last year, and we'll be doing it again. To find out more about the last contest, click here and here. For the rest of you, the rules will be the same as last time:

Quote
Each round will involve several concurrent duels. Your drawing against that of another to see who should go on to the next round (the winner of each duel being subject to audience opinion), Until a champion is declared.

To sign up for this contest, you must draw a picture that represents yourself. The only limit is that it must be 100x100 pixels. Any submissions that do not follow this rule will be disqualified.

I expect all contestants to submit a new picture to sign up, even those who played last time. There is no limit to the medium you can use, so don't feel pressured into using computer programs if you're more comfortable with paper.

So get doodling, already!

The above image conveys the ethos of a man with sufficient character and authority to do chicken right.

I possess absolutely no skill with the visual arts, however, I thoroughly enjoy the artwork created, and loved the last contest.

Knowing that, feel free to take my suggestion (which follows) with a grain of salt.

Perhaps the competitors/organizers could agree on a time frame for submissions. I noticed last time around that many of the artists felt very rushed. It's nice to keep things moving, but it's also really nice to see the fruits of unhurried artistry.

The two main problems with the deadlines of the last contest were that:

1) I had a fluctuating work schedule, and had trouble being awake for half of the deadlines.

2) Hardly anyone on this forum knew how Greenwich Mean Time works.

But that was our first attempt at such a thing, and we had managed to get a pretty good schedule going by the end of the contest. Whether that schedule is still good enough to work this time around is something I'm going to have to look into, but you can be assured that there will only be three four days for contestants to submit their entries for each round. The time limit is part of the challenge, and helps to place everyone on a more even footing.

I'm in. Here's a drawing of my face when I knew there'd be a new contest.

Talking about the time limit, is there any way to include one of those countdown clocks like this one? it'd be sweet.

With regards to the time thing: I will add a countdown scripty magafter to the site which will give you the deadline in your timezone and the amount of time left. That way those of you that do not know how to operate GMT will be able to see the deadline in a timezone you are able to operate*.

Also, I may allow you to upload your own images, as it means less admin for me and HyperGlavin ultimately. This will involve some kind of login for each of the contestants. Whether this will actually happen depends on how much time I have.

Finally, we need a number of contestants that is a power of 2. Last time we had 32 but with the influx of people on Cracked we could have 64 this time, depending on interest. That will mean an extra round. What we don't want is people falling out half way through. If you're not sure you can commit to this all the way then please don't enter. I'd rather have fewer contestants than a bunch of pictures that say "I'm an asshole with commitment issues".

* I'm making the baseless assumption that everyone can operate their own timezone. I'm certain the Interwerb will prove me wrong.
