are you ready to rock? i am almost certainly ready to rock. for the most part, i can honestly say, that the likelyhood of being ready to rock is pretty decent. on a scale of 1 to 50 my readiness is right up there at the upper middle. i'm not going to commit to a specific.. you know what? forget the 1 through 50 scale. that's not really a good judge of rock readiness. i will however fully commit to the color yellow (yellow being mid to upper range in this particular ready to rock color scale). i guess it's not even a scale, more of a chart really. ok wait. i don't want to choose yellow. no, i think i will go with a subtle blend of a kind of a.. a uh.. kind of a um.. a vivid maroon/fuchsia. maybe not so vivid actually. a non-vivid maroon/fuchsia blend of being READY TO ROCK!

I don't play an instrument and don't really feel like rocking right now, but from your description I guess I'm the perfect candidate.

P.S.  I don't know about all that color stuff you said, but if you gave me a heads up, I'd totally rock, dude.

(And do give me a heads up about the colors because, honestly, I don't know what that is all about).

My current Rock Alert Level is alizarin crimson.  I've also been listening to a lot of RAtM, so if we're gonna rock together, we need to rock hard.  It's been one of those weeks.

I'll take drums, unless we need a dirty sax player...

Dibs on lead keytar.
In a pinch, I can also do rhythm keytar.

My level of ready-to-rockness is rococo with extra gold leaf.

I call dibs on lead singer or backup, depending on what you think of girls rocking out. My voice is theatrically trained, but when pressed into the service of rock I'm told I sound like the chick in "Paradise by the Dashboard Light."

My only competent instrument is tenor kazoo. My mellophone skills are a little rusty.

I'm so ready to rock that I have already rocked before.  My level of rocktacularness is black, because that is truly the only color for real rocking.  Oh, and I call dibs on five-string bass.  My qualifications may be found here.  I'm the old, white guy on the five-string bass... in black, of course.  We rock so hard our singer is black.

I can be of use in playing any two chords in a simple, repetitive pattern, and I can look vaguely uncomfortable in any number of situations. I have a 15 watt amp, too, though someone will have to lend me a cable. Also, I could do with a lift to rehearsal, and maybe some change for lunch.
My haven't-been-updated-in-a-year credentials are here.

I rock so hard that I spontaneously sprout cocks whenever I plug in my amp.

Also, I play a mean tenor and bass recorder*

I can play pretty much anything you blow or beat

y'know, like horns and drums*... that didn't come out right did it

I can play a meat flute, I mean a mean flute, Jethro Tull style even**, man nothing's coming out right today.

Y' know what, I'll just be the manager, that alright with you guys?

*actually true

**also actually true, if I could find a drummer and a decent lead singer I'd be the Flutist in a Jethro Tull cover band, but I only know guitarists and bassists.
