I'm really not sure what to make of this.

There apparently is now a magic helmet that can cure Alzheimer's disease.  What's next?

God I hope this is true. My wife's grandmother has the early stages of Alzheimer's and she's already showing the strange behavior that goes along with it. It sometimes can be terrifying. If this turns out well hopefully one of my greatest fears about what could happen to my parents and family can go away.

The article says that IR-light stimulates brain cell growth. You would just end up with an intelligent prostate.



Also; anything which could treat or cure Alzheimer's is good to hear. It's an evil disease.

Maybe we can save Terry Pratchett with this! I think that would be all the proof anyone would ever need that a loving god exists.

Except in this case, it's more of a war over Terry Pratchett's brain. Which is in itself quite worth fighting for.
