We want your videos.  Please.

If we like them, we'll run those bastards on the front page of Cracked and pay you money.  So if you've got a camera, or maybe a microphone and some animation skills, or puppets, or whatever, hopefully something other than you pressing your balls against the camera for fifteen minutes, make a video and post it.  To post them, go here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trpXOowObDI

And just post it as a video response to that video of Lex's drunken ramblings.

Then come back here and start a thread about it so we can all make fun of you.  We're working on a way to embed the videos in the forums but right now you'll just have to post the link.

And... GO!

Would there be any copyright issue in making a music video? Kinda like what JC did, except leaving the song untouched and making a new video mocking it.

Few questions-

1. If I were to get paid for my video, would I still own the rights to it or would Cracked?
2. How lenient are you towards using copyrighted material in the video?
3. Any time limits?

I ask these 3 questions because I have a half-hour student film I'd like to submit that I think people would get a kick out of. My question about copyrighted material stems from the fact that I use copyrighted songs in the film but didn't obtain the rights because they were used in a student work, and it's therefore okay.

That is all, carry on.

You can reply with any videos you want, as long as you maintain that you have the legal rights to them.  Remember, they're in your account, not ours, so check with your team of lawyers to make sure you're legally covered to be uploading whatever it is that you come up with.

To increase your odds of our buying your video comedy genius, I'd recommend aiming for two minutes and under. We won't buy a video from you unless you can assert that have rights to all the creative assets in it... We've lost six Cracked contributors to the US prison system after we tried to look the other way on song clearances, and it gets David all depressed when we lose another purveyor of dick jokes.

I have a couple questions.

It seems some people are unable to read and are linking to videos that were not uploaded as video responses to Lex's YouTube video.

My questions:

Am I allowed to hurt these people?

If I tape myself hurting these people, will Cracked buy the video?

Yeah, for some reason Youtube hates my soul, so is it alright if I post a link to Dailymotion instead?

I was going through every post that didn't follow the below instructions but it looks like the majority missed it. Unfortunately, we won't be considering any video that isn't uploaded as a response to Lex's original video on YouTube. If you for whatever reason can't use You Tube, you should let us know specific reasons and we'll try to help you get around those.

I have a short film that I want to re-shoot, but I'm looking for feedback on it.  So, my question is, are we allowed / should we use this board as a place to get feedback on videos/shorts, or is this board meant specifically to announce video submissions to Cracked?

I have videos, but they are not funny. Do you guys watch unfunny videos? I have a few unfunny videos, but I know this guy named Redban and he's the camera guy for Joe Rogan, he has funny stuff, and then there are a couple other people I know who do funny. I just don't do funny... Serious.

Okay... I guess I did this right...

I responded to the YouTube vdeo with my animation 'Messed-Up Bible Stories 1-2: Adam and Eve'. I have a few more episodes which are all linked together, or you can just visit my YouTube page and/or website www.ebolaworld.com.

What type of comedy are you looking for in these videos exactly?
The majority of videos I have seen on this site are satire, some are skits, but I havent seen much in the way of dark-comedy, or nonsense.
Also, I assume parodies are acceptable, however, I have seen few on the site.
Are there  stricter guidelines for what you will accept from various comedic categories?
