Natalie Portman in "The Professional."  The heart-warming story about a girl whose family is murdered by hitmen, and is then taken in by another hit man who teaches her to kill while she teaches him to read.

Who the hell was Bloom in BHD? I can barely tell one actor from another in Military movies because they all seem to wear the same clothes.

Heather Grahm (I think I spelled it wrong) was in a Corey Feldman/Haim movie called "Liscense to Drive".

I might even have spelled Liscense wrong, but I just don't give a shit anymore.

Remember Blackburn? He was in 2 scenes. When he first arrived at the base and registered with Ewan MacGregor and then when he fell out the helicopter.

Kirsten Dunst - Interview with the Vampire

I didn't realize Elrond was Agent Smith until halfway through watching "The Two Towers" in the theater.

Vin Diesel wasn't in The Village.

She's talking about the French village in the movie where his character gets killed by the sniper.

Impossible. No one in the Village spoke french, and sniper rifles hadn't been invented yet.

Before Star Trek, DeForest Kelley played in westerns. There's at least one in which he is one of the least menacing henchmen ever.

I love Jack Black in the video clip to Sexxlaws by Beck, although that's probably more of a well known appearence of him.

When I saw American graffiti I was a bit surprised how many, now famous actors were in it.

Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard*, Kathleen Quinlan. Suzanne Summers

*Yeah, I guess he was famous at that point, but its strange seeing him as an actor rather than a director or producer

i wasn't really going for the "you watch a movie for the first time and see actors you didn't know were in it" thing, but more the "you've seen a movie so long ago, and after watching it again about 10 or 15 years later, you notice an actor in it who has in that time become popular" thing.

so a lot of you fail, as usual.

I just sat down and actually watched Saving Private Ryan this weekend (as opposed to watching the beginning and end and "listening" to the rest while playing computer games), and was surprised at a few of the faces in the movie:

Nathan Fillion (a.k.a. Cap'n Firefly)
Ryan Hurst (dumb guy from Ladykillers/crippled guy from Remember the Titans.  Oops, spoiler)
and, holy shit, Ted Danson.

Also, I bought Sneakers on DVD last weekend and watched it for the first time in probably a decade or so, and Stephen Tobolowsky's in it.  Not really famous, but somebody I recognize now.

Is this the Greg Arraki (sp?) movie?  That movie was wierd and cool and that's where I learned to play "kick the can".

His movies are wierd and controversial and always have bisexual characters and I hear Elizabeth Shue is in his new one.

ironically, Vin Diesel probably would have made The Village a lot better.

especially if the word 'crikey' was involved.

Hi everyone!

I would like to contribute something here:
I didn't know it was Natalie Portman in Heat, until after I saw Star Wars episode III chronologically or episode I as Lucas says. She is hot in that film!
I realise that she was also 14 in that movie, but I feel no shame...
