Fantastic.  I'm horribly inexperienced with EUIII (despite owning it--whoops!) but I greatly enjoy seeing Ethiopia carving through West Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.  I'm looking forward to a monstrosity of an Anglo-Ethiopian standoff for the fortunes of Africa and west Asia.

I love playing as the little guys, I just got Hearts of Iron 3 and I have yet to play as a major power. Maybe time for a Ethiopian campaign?

Holy shit you are better at this game than me.  I did not know you needed a king with high admin to westernize.  That explains away a lot of mayan frustration.

Small and medium nations are fun as hell to play as, as long as you don't get destroyed right away. I love playing as the Teutonic Knights/Prussia which either ends up with me dominating central europe, or getting crushed early on by Poland, Lithuania, and the Russian factions.
