No new Glee episodes until November 11th.

If I had the ability I'd make an animated gif of Sue throwing that phone across the room in rage, but I don't, so I'll just pout here offscreen. My Wednesdays are suddenly darker, though.

Dammit, baseball must have scheduled an important practice at the same time as Glee, and forced the baseball players on the show to choose between the two.

I'm going to go talk to the coach about this, it's bullshit.

The coach of baseball. That coach.

The full Glee soundtrack hit today. And I'd just like to say I APPROVE OF IT.

After listening to it for the whole day, I can safely say this is the greatest thing ever.

Can't with for Nov 11th.

November 11th today!
I almost want to be sad since it's Remembrance Day today (Armistice/Veterans), and the day Kierkegaard died (I just recently learned that I am in love with the hunchbacked glory of Kierkegaard...)

BUT
NEW EPISODE OF GLEE!!!
And I am currently listening to the Glee soundtrack and wondering if I can convince any guys to go do the Don't Stop Believin' duet with me at Karaoke...

Man, what a awesome episode.

And Puck is now behind Sue as my favorite Glee character.

I agree entirely! I thought it was a bit weird that after Tina and Artie had their fight, it was like nothing had happened in later scenes... Also I was a bit disappointed that Idina Menzels didn't make a random, non-publicised guest appearance--that would have been the best thing. But overall, best episode yet. Defying Gravity AND Sue's ongoing, much needed character development. Fantastic.

Man, that thing with Sue hit me like a punch in the gut. On any other show it would seem sappy or like it was trying too hard to wring emotion, but because it's Sue, who is mostly broad characterisation, to get this sudden insight into her personal life is great.

Also, I wondered why the mix of Defying Gravity was so thin, and I get it now, it totally works in context in the episode. Just wish they'd made it a bit bigger for the soundtrack. But then, it's hard to adapt that song as a single anyway; it's so totally OF the show, and works as such a pivotal moment in it, that when you stand it on its own you have to warp it til it's nearly unrecognisable to make it work as a stand-alone. I think the best version of it as a single was Kerry Ellis's, which also featured Queen's Brian May on guitar, making it The Best Thing.

During the whole episode, I kept hearing it as "Defining Gravity", which made for an awesome song about using science to overcome your challenges, but in retrospect the actual title does make a lot more sense.

I've been impressed with how this show keeps getting stronger with each new episode; when I really didn't think it would do that well. And I'm now indebted to it for introducing me to "Defying Gravity" because the song is simply amazing.

I find that I increasingly do not care about the whole pregnancy issue with Puck, Quinn and Finn. Perhaps it's because the characters are so unrelatable, except for maybe Puck, but only because he's not as dumb as a doorknob, and a total deviant. He's actually trying to be responsible in his own way (so is Finn but he's just... so very not smart).

I wish we could have more episodes with the other characters of Glee getting some more spotlight.

Also... I cried when Kurt was talking to his father at the end there, and with Sue and her sister... one of the best episodes yet.

Agree about Kurt and his dad.  While they both display some over the top, stereotypical character traits, when they are together having an honest conversation, those are some of the most poignant scenes I've seen on TV in a long, long time.  Their relationship is one of my absolute favorites on TV right now.  Absolutely fantastic.

Wow, well this episode was pretty good. My favourite character is still Kurt, although this episode made me more sympathetic so Quinn and Finn, and even Puck.

Not liking Rachel though, she is so very obnoxious.
I missed Sue in this episode, but I read that she'll be back in next episode, so I can't wait for next week! I can't believe there's only 4 more episodes left.

This episode was soooo great.

I absolutely loved Rachel's crush on Mr Schu.

Only complaint would be that none of the songs completely blew me away (except maybe for Schu's mash-up).

The duet of Endless Love and the awkward dance around the piano is one of the funniest things I've seen in the show, and then was bettered by Schu's mashup completely failing to have its desired effect, as both Rachel and Emma lose their collective shit over his performance. Utter brilliance.

Also, I feel like we finally got some insight into Terri's character. She's still a hateful bitch, but we finally get some motivation for her seemingly irrational fear of losing her husband. She realises she managed to bag a winner, and now foeels like she has to do everything she can to keep him. It doesn't excuse her actions, but it explains them, which up til now had been sorely lacking, at least for me.

Also- "He's cheating off a girl who thinks the square root of four is rainbows."
