Welcome to the newest Cracked.com Photoshop Contest.  It will run from Thursday August 14 until Wednesday August 20th.

This week's theme is:

Everyday Life in 2008 If a Major War Had Gone the Other Way, aka the Please Don't Just Photoshop Swastikas On Everything contest.

Here's your chance to have fun with alternate history. What would everyday life look like today if, say, the colonies had lost the revolutionary war? Or the Soviets had won the cold war? Or any major war of your choosing had turned out differently? So don't just phtoshop Hitler's head on prominent landmarks, use your imagination and think about how TV, movies, your office, any aspect of everyday life would suck if those certain bits of history had played out differently.

The best Photoshop gets $50.  Entries must be no wider than 480 pixels.

EDIT:  Here's a nice early entry from Codespyder:

If you've never played before, it works like this:

1.  You make an amusing photoshop image that conforms to the current theme;

2.  You will post it in this thread;

3.  You can submit as many entries as you want;

4.  If your image has naked people in it, please just link to the image rather than including the picture itself in your post;

5.  We stop taking entries at 7 PM EST on the final day of the contest.

6.  We will then pick a winner and run it on the front page of Cracked.com, along with the runners-up, thus making you instantly world famous.

7.  The first-place winner will win FIVE THOUSAND pennies, which is $50.

8.  The runners-up will win THE SATISFACTION OF KNOWING THEY ALMOST WON and other than that, not a damned thing.

9.  Please leave this thread just to the entries, no chit-chat. If you want to talk about the entries, start a new thread.

10.  IMPORTANT:  Entries can be no wider than 480 pixels.  Any bigger and it's automatically disqualified.

11.  If you're completely new to the concept of posting images online, you'll have to find some place to host your image, like photobucket.com where they'll host your image for free.  Then you just link to it.

I know there is a forum file attachment upload feature but it doesn't work for everybody.

Go to it!

Hey, it turns out 640x480 doesn't mean 480 pixels wide!  Would someone be kind enough to delete the first one for my dumb ass?

So, I made a few that are all pretty much the same joke but I don't know which one I like best.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I figure people won't have the immediate recollection of this scene requisite to see what I did there; so, I made another:

These next two I just don't know which one I like more:

Anyway, I suppose if you thought it was funny in the first place then I probably killed it with my own single post. It probably would've happened anyways though, eh?
