Sarah Zero comic writer looks like a good artists, but the comic...the style, no it just doesn't work.

Now Cat Slayer, this is a meh comic.  Of course the guy admits he can't draw or write a comic but it was something he wanted to do.  Regardless, paired with an infrequently updated blog about how he can't sleep and the lack of direction, it's just...gah!

I have this weird feeling that Nav is right and Powerup Comics is just a joke.

Also, Sputnik is right and Shredded Moose is the worst webcomic in existence. I assume the only reason we're still talking about this is that most of you have been wisely following his advice and staying the hell away.

I found it! It's Electronic Tigers. Today's webcomic is a webcomic about webcomics. Prepare to be brutalized.

Oh man, back in the day, when webcomics were even more insular and retarded than they are now, every single damn webcomic had a comic about other webcomics where their characters would interact with other comic's characters or whatever and make sly comments about them. Gabe and Tycho must be represented in more forms than Jesus. And every comic would start out with the main characters talking about how they're in a comic. The whole thing was irredeemably self-referential. Some of those comics are inexplicably still around, but most of the creators have realized that they had no class or talent and, presumably, killed themselves.

Yeah. I... I used to read too many webcomics.

Oh, the old days brought back the memory of the retardedly named, and in fact thouroughly retarded, College Rommies From Hell!!! [sic]. I used the read that. What the fuck was wrong with me?

Huh! Apparently CRFH!!!'s author though were we in a nuclear war with Iraq in 1999. What?

I have to throw in another vote for Ctrl-Alt-Del, if only because my brother loves it and badgers me to read it, giving me constant reminders of the inferiority of my genetic stock.

Since Shredded Moose is unequivocally the worst thing to ever be made by anyone ever, we should start debating the second worst, and possibly giving out consolation prizes. To that end I nominate "Zap!" for "Most Extreme Division Between Writing Quality And Art." (MEDBWQAA) Because dang, the later ones are actually pretty decently drawn, but the dialogue reads like Edmond Dantès trying to emulate normal English after nine years in solitary.

Also just to turn Zipf's Law on its head, selective editing:
Oh man, when webcomics were every single webcomic had a comic about webcomics where other comics' characters make more comics with characters talking about a comic. Some comics are webcomics.

That comic seems to be built on the premise that random, out-of-context occurrences from the writer's daily life will, for some wild, unknown reason, be funny or interesting to random people.  Case in point.  I expect every caption to conclude with the phrase, "Isn't that crazy?"

Dear Gamer Chicks, your comic is truly mindblowing in every single aspect, from the hilarious and completely original script to the careful and delicate colouring. But I do have one question:

How the fuck do you know if someone's hot when they are wearing a fucking FOX MASK.

I think it might actually be worse when someone uses "fat loot" spelled out correctly as opposed to in leetspeak.

Shredded Moose is horrifying. I don't know about the worst ever, but my second least favorite comics are Dueling Analogs and Sore Thumbs.

Seconding Gamer Chicks, but enough with this "Oh, it's CTRL-ALT-DEL" or "Oh, it's Dominic Deegan" or even "Oh it's VGCats". They aren't the worst. I'm not saying they're the best, or even fucking GOOD for that matter, but they are far from the worst on the internet. 1 out of every 100 comics being funny is still a better ratio than some really bad ones, and the art never slips into the unbearable zone. You're just saying that they suck because they're popular and it's trending to bash them. If you read them objectively, I'm not saying you'd go "This is awesome" or even "This is decent and I am amused to some degree" but you wouldn't condemn them as the worst webcomic in existence.

This is hard to determine. There is an ocean of webcomics out there that are made by bored children using paint and whatnot, they're obviously the kings of the crapper. But since no one but themselves and perhaps their mother reads them, do they count?

So is it "the worst webcomic that is actually relatively known in social circles" we're talking about?

I also used to like CAD, but then I realized it wasn't as funny as I thought it was.

The thing is, webcomics that are popular have that much more of an effect on the greater culture - even if the horribleness is less concentrated, it has a greater radius of suck.

Which is worse: a tablespoon of diarrhea or a five pound pile of logs?
