It didn't take my money at that part (and I think the last part of your post should be spoilered), but it did remove the icons from my map for guns and such.

I was at the Auto Eroticar dealership in Alderney last night and found large amounts of money scattered all over the ground. Not lots of small piles, but about 5 or 6 bundles that all gave me a couple thousand each.

Anyone know why?

Have you completed the game? After the shootout you have around there in one of the missions, I noticed the money the guys left was still there when I got back there. I'm pretty sure you have a shootout there in a mission, anyway.

I've completed the game but I don't remember that mission. Also, I finished the game a long time ago so I would assume that anything left over from a mission would have disappeared by now. I went back a couple of times and didn't find any more money. At first I thought what may have happened is that I blew up one of those money trucks and it had leaked everywhere.. but the cash was actually inside the dealership, in places it couldn't have fallen from the street. Weird.

My favorite way to get six stars and keep them, even after unlocking all the boroughs: steal a chopper and fly it to the top of the Bohan Bridge.  It's low enough so you can still see and shoot people and cars, but too high for them to shoot you back.  Taking down police helicopters with the sniper rifle is heaven.  Also, you can jump off, and if you hit water, you'll be fine, weirdly enough.

But I'm having a problem.  I've been stealing cars for Stevie, and I'm almost done.  But I've run into one I can't find, for the life of me.  Stevie's text message says to find him a Comet near the "Swingers Golf Club".  I have no fucking clue where that is, because it doesn't say a neighborhood.  I've tried looking online at the "whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com" website, and I still have no idea where to look.  Has anyone found all of the cars Stevie asks you to steal?

I've been playing the game a lot, and I've only managed to kill 17 pigeons or so.  I hear that if you get all of them, your prize is a helicopter equipped with not just miniguns, but rockets.  Sweet mercy.  But regardless, I don't know if I will have the energy to find all of those pigeons.

I've seen a golf course around somewhere, not sure where. It's three peninsulas between two islands, and it has those nets that some golf courses have. My suggestion is to steal a heli from the helitours, fly around until you see it, then land or mark it and drive there.

I'm pretty sure the golf course is on the left of Algonquin, but I'm not too certain. Google is your friend, however.

There's a golf course in Southwest Algonquin. I could be wrong about it being a golf course though since it's rectangular and jutting out into the river. From my fly-bys it looked more like an elaborate driving range. The entire place has netting around it. Shouldn't be too hard to spot at all.

I have found the golf course.  I wasn't even looking anywhere close to that spot, because I reasoned that there couldn't be a goddamn golf course in the middle of downtown Manhattan/Algonquin.  But I'm sure that's what they want you to think...

I didn't get any achievements for completing the Most Wanted and Little Jacob sidemissions, but searching online gives me the impression that they do provide you with one. I did use a cheat to spawn an FBI car when the cop car I was using went up in flames, could this have anything to do with this?

As a sidenote, did anyone else happen to walk past the house where you kidnapped Ancelotti's daughter, and have the girl come out of the door and send ten mobsters on your ass? I was dumbfounded at first, and then called Dwayne for back up. So I ended up having a shootout out of nowhere, unknowingly triggering a sidemission. Still love this game...

I believe cheating blocks Achievements. Except for the "Fat" achievement, which you get for being a cheater and fat. And gay.

I was just reading the "Games you feel bad for hating" thread, and two people made reference to GTA4 having ridiculously long cut scenes that you couldn't skip, which I'm curious about.  I didnt think the cutscenes were ridiculously long, in fact, towards the end i was angered by how short they all were, as if Rockstar got lazy.  My curiousity though, is in the (I presume) US edition of the game, can you not skip the cutscenes?

I certainly was able to skip them.

Also, I just beat the game. Having done that, I have one question: Is there no way for this to have a happy ending? I mean goddamn.

Considering the grittiness of the whole storyline, did you really expect a happy ending? And if so, did both endings depress you equally?

I guess I did expect a happy ending, yes. The whole thing was building up to Niko being able to finally start things on the right foot and live the life he always wanted to, and I was totally rooting for him. I mean, I can get that maybe one of the endings would be depressing, but every possible outcome leaving Niko in no better shape, and in fact, worse shape than when he started? Thats just a bit too much for me, and actually makes me feel a bit bad for even turning the game back on after beating it. I totally got wrapped up in the characters and story.

Also, the cutscenes were not unreasonably long. Not in the least. They were all just these quick "Hey Niko, do this to this at this and I'll give you this!" and that was it most of the time.

You can skip the cutscenes. You can skip them the first time, even, without ever watching them. And you're right, the cutscenes aren't really that long either. Those people are both retards.

Like Lotharian said, I truly don't understand the complaints about the length of the cutscenes, I don't remember one longer than about three minutes. It makes me wonder if the people don't have the attention spans or are playing some different game. I agree with the ending, I was also expecting a happy one. I wish the game would've ended after you shoot Dimitri/Mob Boss (I forget his name). It would make for much better closure and a better ending in my opinion. Now I know there's the whole "But then we can't fucking play anymore!" but they could've just done what Saint's Row did. Just a minor complaint I guess, it's not going to be changed now.

Oddly enough I'm actually finding the game more fun after beating it. I don't know why.
