The part that annoys the hell out of me in SNL is that they get people to do impersonations when they look absolutely NOTHING like who they're supposed to be.  The older MadTV with Will Sasso dominated anything SNL has ever thrown out.

meh, it's not bad. Do you really have to look like someone to do an impersonation? Isn't that part of a good impersonation, picking up on all the little things that go beyond just the way someone looks?

One of the scariest impersonations I've ever seen was Kevin Spacey doing Johnny Carson. Never would say those two look alike, but it works.

I'm with Ipso. It's great if you can find a lookalike, but I find it more impressive when an actor can do a recognizeable impression WITHOUT that. Kevin Spacey was going to be my example as well; when SNL did the fake outtakes from screen tests for Star Wars, Spacey did a wonderful Walter Matthau.

I don't know if I'd guess this is Pacino without knowing beforehand. And I'm a pretty big Pacino nut.

I give it a 4.

I think it was a good impression.  The best part about it is he sticks to mannerisms and doesn't sell out to Pacino catch phrases.

Also, here is an impromptu rapid fire of Kevin Spacey doing impressions:

They are hit and miss, but then it at least appears to be off-the-cuff.  So those are really good with no preparation.  And again, mannerisms sell the impression.
