Same Planet, Different Worlds

by David Wong

I’m going to show you a headline. That headline is going to inspire several feelings in you, none of them good.

Ready?  Because you’re going to feel worse about yourself in a minute.

Okay:

Delhi Deputy Mayor Killed by a Horde of Wild Monkeys.

Thanks to Mister Fahrenheit in the forums for bringing that to my attention.

Training bands of larger, more ferocious monkeys? That just sounds like recipe for more problems.

  2. Corey Says:

The best part? The man was a member of the BJP, the political party representing the very same devout Hindus who don’t want a cull. The irony of that just sends chills through ya, doesn’t it?

You’re right, Wong…I do feel worse about myself. I laughed hysterically at the untimely death of a human being. The whole story was just so absurd…it read like one of those old News Skim alerts. I’m with Tom though…training killer monkeys to stop killer monkeys? When will we learn the lesson of the Old Woman Who Swallowed A Fly?

Ever heard “Fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity”?
I think it applies in a lot of situations. This one in special.

  5. Tim Says:

Sounds like a prime ‘News of Wacky’ candidate
