Simply read every request for economic salvation as a plea for a Colt 45, or semi-automatic handgun, or a---uh... well, whatever (guns aren't really my thing, I'm more of a WMD kind of guy), and make the drop. With everyone well-armed, the solution will be found in NO time! (And hospitals will be pleased; what with all the organs and plasma they'll be overstocked with.)
